Semi circular abrasions on the CELL!

Having done a successful de-lid on the CELL processor, I found 3 perfect semi circular abrasions on the CELL die! (Two of which can be seen in the picture). I was concerned that some how I must have caused this, thankfully I record all my de-lids and I confirmed I went no where near the die. So this must have been caused at factory assembly! The console had never been opened and no pressure had been applied to the die, so this is a factory flaw and seems to account for why the CPU wasn't running to well! Anyone else seen anything like this before?

What symptoms were you seeing with this Cell? And have you tried new paste just to see? I have one here with a small dot on it that runs well but you have to get the application perfect for it to be happy

Just the usual, it was running a little warmer than it should do. Having now done the de-lid it's running below 65 degrees on 32 percent fan speed, before it ran up to 72 degrees on the same fan speed. The RSX is definitely running well and is probably a binned chip as it doesn't exceed 54 degrees under full load running TLOU. (Google chip binning if your not sure what this is)
 
I used liquid metal to achieve the best possible temps. AS5 ran 5 degrees hotter, I used this first as I wasn't surei f it would boot having seen those marks. I then swapped it out for LM and this knocked 4 degrees off the temps, well worth doing
