PS2 SHPH-50002 (PAL) hdd not detecting

Hey everyone,

I have been trying to mod my fat ps2 with a hdd recently and have run into the following issues:

hdd won't let me boot into fhdb. Tryed multiple hard drives and nothing even tried different adapters. Tryed all the imgs and nothing

after that got a fmcb memory card to boot instead. Works fine but when I go to ulaunchelf to format it won't detect hdd. Again tryed multiple hdds and 2 sata adapters

even formatted drive to fat 32 to see if it would recognise. No luck

Pretty much the only thing I haven't done is format via wiinhiip just due to its compatibility with things

I'm starting to think its my ps2 that's having the issue.

I opened it up last night at tested the PS9, PS10 and PS11 fuses. PS9 and PS11 gave me continuity although the PS10 didn't.

My question, has anyone with this paticular model had issues like this? Or am I going to have to operate on this PS2?

My other question, upon looking at the version 9 board which my ps2 uses the ps10 fuse in on the other side of the board. Looking at the photos on ps2home it looks like it's not known for this revision
Is it even worth trying or will it create more problems for me?

*can't post source on this thread

Also, when plugging in network adapter, i get the green light from the network part flashing. So the card is definitely connecting to the ps2 just nothing from the hdd

Really want to get to the bottom of this. Or am I missing something really simple?

I was reccomended to replace the fuses with 50 like on the original board photo(my board shows S3 fuses) but I just wanted to get another and see what psx place thinks?

If I have left out anything important please let me know.

Hdd: 2tb sata seagate barracuda 3.5, tried 1 tb sata 3.5
Console: scph 50002 PAL with version 9 board Network adapters: original with sata mod, gamestar

This is the v9 board

are you using 3.5" hdd? if yes you need a 12v possible your PS10 fuse is busted. Try using 2.5" hdd as this need 5v and as you said your PS9 fuse has continuity
