SteweEliteModder submitted a new resource:

Simple File Manager FIX - Simple file manager for PS3 that supports on exFAT and FAT file systems.

This is a FIX for Simple File Manager for unpin it from xmb and so making possible to move it into a folder.
The FIX will replace the original app icon with a custom icon (more cool).



INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Install Simple File Manager.
2. Install FIX.
3. Open Simple File Manager and exit, and after the exit it wil be unpinned from xmb.

i think i was the one who approved this first time around...is there some problem with moving the original app into a folder? i do not remember anyone having a problem but my memory is poor...

I'm not again so skilled for do it currently, i've started ps3 modding by just one month so i need more experience and more time for get it and so edit source code, this is a "mod" that i've made for myself use and then shared here so everyone can use it if needed, but... however in my opinion the program is perfect in this way so i don't see the reason for mod it, might could be added "rename" option for rename files/items but... it's a frill.

Yeah the program is pinned to main xmb by item priority in the param.sfo file so is impossible to unpin and move it into a folder without modded param.sfo file, however this is a mod made for myself use for keep clean the ps3 ui placing this and others apps all in the same folder, in my case "Applications & Tools" as you can see from the screenshot.

If I'm not mistaken, it's just a deletion of 4 in position 00000180x00 in the param.sfo file

Deleted the version I had modified to unpin, installed yours from the link above = v0.11 unpinned straight away at install. Perfect.

Context menu in 0.12 is a nice addition! Are you intending to include an unpinned version alongside? https://github.com/aldostools/Resources/releases appears to have the unpinned version as 0.11

For anyone coming back to this, as a workaround replacing the param.sfo for v0.12 on the PS3 with the param.sfo for v0.11_unpinned removes the pinning for v0.12.
