Single Resource is about to hit 100k (downloads)... Advice please?

When I noticed this, all I thought at first was at least it is helping the community... but now that we are getting close to 100,000 downloads on a single site Resource, I have to ask all of your advice on this one...

93,174 downloads = Rated ONCE ??!!??
Really?

As I scrolled farther down the list, it just seems that nobody is rating these Resources at all...
I dont think the Super-Villain name "Leechman" has been taken yet... lmao...
Help out the site and rate these Resources please.

1 person (out of 93,174 people) took the few seconds it takes to rate the item they wanted (which we here took immense time to research/test/summarize/organize/upload to provide for the community free of charge :eek:).

So, here is the question...
How can I motivate our members to actually RATE the downloads they love sooo much ???

Good luck with that, lol had the same problem with all our projects. Unfortunately people do not care, if there given the option they will skip right over everything just to get the download. You could do like the nexus does and put a pop up of the peoples recent downloads with a quick way to rate the items. Maybe even force people to rate at least one past download before they can download something new. Just some ideas:D
 
Pretty simple: in the current version, anyone can download but it seems only members of the site can rate. You need to align those two. Either let anyone vote, or restrict the download to only members.

With the current way it works, this is not surprising that lots of people download, and those who want to rate cannot find a way to do it. Pretty mechanical effect of how the thing is set up, really.

upon checking you are correct that anyone can download and that only members can vote. Not suppose to be like that, Permissions are set correctly, will have to look into it why its allowing one and not the other, usually something dumb,

OPL is about to hit 100K download at psx-place (psx-place not hitting 100k :) )

I dont think we should force/limit our Community, but the option to rate should at least be available to everyone...
Cards is looking into it (what seems to be the real issue). :)

I totally thought this subject had come up before, couldnt remember when/where (thought possibly in chat or private forum), but felt it could use this kickstart, since it is still obviously stalled (at a green light in traffic lolol).

If there was an issue like that, the thread may have served its purpose afterall (albeit in a different way than I expected)...
Ill have to presume the people that couldnt rate are the ones that would have lol. ;)

Nah, OPL hit 100k over 6k downloads ago...
I split the Resource into two separate downloads, so people can choose the correct version for their needs...
With, or without, "GSM" (for instance, I personally dont use GSM, so I use the light-weight version myself ;))...
See the top-two downloads in our Resources section (and pic) for clarity...
I changed the title to better reflect the matter at hand. :)
