PS3 [Slim CECH2004A] 8002f14e Error at update

Hello,

My +6 years old PS3 has a Blu-Ray drive related issue so I was looking into jailbreaking it and followed a tutorial online to install the 4.91 Cobra PEX. Did all the patches and everything in PS3Toolset etc. And when I reached the part of system updating, it repeadatly fails with the error message 8002f14e.

I don't know how to proceed now. I'm very new to this.

Any help ?

Did you install the noBD variant? 20xx models still have the BD daughterboard and if it's not working properly, attempting to install any firmware that's not noBD (even OFW) will indeed result in an update loop. The only way to get out of that situation is to replace the daughterboard with a working one.
