it's slow, obviously, but it works. sound is disabled by default to allow more fps, but you can reenable sound in the settings.ini file. there's a sonic mania version for dos, which I couldn't figure out how to build, since it uses a mystifying allegro 4, which I don't understand. it does have sound by default, but after the title screen, black screen. I used the dev's build. I'm not sure how to select a stage, which I think you're supposed to do in order to progress (like the dreamcast's), but they've probably really been dumbed it down. lol:
I was also able to build it for the ps3, I wish I could share it, but knowing Nintendo... at first boot, it errors about a save file, but after that, it works fine. I think it's a psl1ght bug, so just press confirm or cross basically to get out of it, then it should never trouble you again. lol:
I was able to build for ps4 as well. you do need two files from the unofficial retroarch iirc to make it work. this is not the cheap ps2 to ps4 version either:
