[solved] Help preparing Vita for sale

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what I needed to do on the software side in preparing to sell my Vita?

I assume it's a combination of deactivating, logging out of PSNid stuff and wiping...but what is the best/proper way to go about it?

Thanks

Just restoring the system to factory defaults its more than enough for what you need! It automatically wipes all the data of the system.

if you also wish to revert the system to stock (assuming you have ensou installed), you also need to uninstall ensou with its installer, then reinstall the firmware (traces of ensou will remain even after reinstalling the firmware unless you uninstall ensou first). some people have encountered big problems by not doing this. this is why you'll get a checksum error if you were to uninstall ensou, then reinstall it. it will still install/work without a problem, but it can be scary not knowing if you're about to brick your system.

edit: actually, it's a warning iirc, not exactly an error.

Also restore all files which You have changed (if You changed) on other partitions than ux0, ur0, imc0, xmc0. In example whitelists on vd0 in case of PSTV. IMO of course is not worth the effort, the same as not worth going back to OFW. If You selling, just wipe user data, leave the hack, and sell to someone who want such console.
