Hi, I already wanna appologise for my bad english as its not my main language, im sorry for the errors about the writing on this thread.
I bought about one year ago a CECHH-04 PS3 (used but in decent conditions) and now its dying giving the first syptoms about the ylod bump failure, ive dumped the syscon using the ps3 advanced toolset with errors A0801601 a.k.a. the hallway error and the A0801701 the CELL BE Attention error. The ps3 has been treaten how deserved always clean, new thermal paste over the time (even a good one, i used noctua nt-h2 for the job), and even the temps were realy cool, 55c under heavy stress with GT6 and TLOU.
But now the question is, what should i buy?
I realy love the phat design and i know there are the last gen model with 65nm RSXs
But are they realy reliable? They are preaty next with the bumpgate failure period so i have some doubts about that.
Should i buy a slim 40nm instead, sacrificing the design for the reliability?
I don't know what to do :/

I own two CECHK04s (which is among the first run of 65nm boards, before the BD-ROM board revamp on the CECHL/P/Q) and personally have had no issues with them.

If you're looking for 65nm, about anything starting with CECHJ (DIA-002) should have 65nm.

The only exception to this rule that I know of is the CECHM, which is 90nm.

(I have yet to find any CECHM unit that has a 65nm RSX - they're basically the same thing as CECHH, down to having the same DIA-001 board found in CECHH units.)

My CECHL04 have 11000 working hours and still works, no syscon errors other than related to video output.
Never opened. ;P

From the two K04s I have:

320GB: 2x 1001, 62 days
250GB: 30x 1001, 212 days

The 250GB seems to be related to forced poweroff - only 5 out of the 30x 1001s actually have a logged date.
