Starting up Issue

Hi folks,

I have a PS3 Slim Cech 3004A with Hen and it was working ok...until today.

So last time I played I didn't enable Hen (fool of me) and I started playing Persona 3 FES that I have from the PSN before getting HEN. All fine, save my game, turn off system, everything ok.

Today the PS3 simply won't start up. The LED light stays green, the dual shock shows player 1 light but TV won't show anything. Checked the HDMI connections, they're fine. Also, the console has a disc and won't spit it out.

Tried recovery mode, still doesn't show a thing. I checked all the black screen threads I've found but they all talk about turning options and changing settings, which I can't do.

Is there any hope?

Ok, I "somehow" fixed it. Afeter checking some videos on youtube I came to this one:

I took off the HDD and try to see if the console gave any feedback -> it gave none. After that I was almost decided to trash it, but I mounted back the HDD and magically it worked again. I post it just for the record.
