I was trying to watch my collection of AOT Blu-Rays on the Superslim only to find out that my console is no longer reading Blu-Ray movies but DVD movies and Blu-Ray games can still be played just fine.
I definitely remember these discs to work around the time of HFW 4.84/4.85 but not now... I still have the Gembox alternative of HEN from the time of the russian thread incident, which some of you are probably wondering why but it is simply because "DEBUG PKG ENABLER" from the official release of HEN by PS3Xploit does not work when I use it.
Instead, I have to use this non-official HEN that comes with 3 diff. enablers for 4.84/4.85/4.86. Again, when I try to do this with official version of HEN, the so-called up-to-date Enabler does not work for me. ONLY 4.86 DEBUG PKG ENABLER from Gembox alternative works for me.
I'm just wondering, what could cause the recognition and playback of Blu-Ray movies to get so messed up that it doesn't even read the discs anymore? They are Blu-Rays, no scratches and no dirt, brand new still.
Could a fresh install of official HEN fix this? I mostly use my Superslim as a DVD player anyways so I'm nearly willing to give up HFW entirely, as I never take it online due to risks and I've already learned my lesson about using "illegal software or homebrew" when playing online from the 3 bans I've recieved on my CFW PS3.
