PS3 Syncing a trophy with debug flag?

I recently installed the latest EvilNat and saw that it had a built in trophy unlocker. I tested it out by unlocking one single trophy and then syncing. The trophy did not show as unlocked once synced.

I then deleted the folder, rebuilt database, and unlocked all the trophies in that game using Apollo. All the other trophies synced, except the one that I used EvilNat on.

I read that the EvilNat unlocker unlocks them using a debug flag, and that the trophy is actually "synced" it's just flagged so it doesn't show as unlocked.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to fix this? Will unlocking the trophy legit work? Does the EvilNat unlocker basically brick the trophy once you sync it?

Did you use the plugin for it or the XMB native function? If you unlocked the trophy with the plugin, it will sync as legit. The second option will only unlock locally as it uses a debug flash and won't sync.
 
If You have in mind unlocking in XMB, a debug feature which is used on all DEX OFW and hybrid CFW like Rebug D-REX/REX and Evilnat D-PEX/PEX, then yes, those trophies will be flagged.

Last time when I tested this (unlocked on DEX OFW 3.55-4.21 and synced on CEX CFW 3.55), it works in both ways. However, not counted in statistics (even if only one trp was flagged) for SEN account on PS3/PSV/PSTV/PS4. But it is safe.

Unlocking via homebrew like plugins or Apollo, or on PC, isn't 100% safe. There are cases when per game index is recognized as corrupted by server.

The only issue free way for unlocking trophies is save data hacking. Unfortunately not for all trophies it is possible (due to needed server response in game; trophies aren't saved in save game but game monitoring parrams which when changing, then telling CellOS to unlock it).

I used the XMB native function.

I was able to unlock the trophy legit in-game, and then get it to sync correctly. I don't know why that overrides the flag but it seems to have fixed it.

I really wish they didn't have that built-in functionality with zero explanation. It should have some kind of warning that the trophies will be debug flagged.

Thanks to all of you for responding. I understand the reason PS3 trophies are so troublesome is because of the PS3 architecture that wasn't even built for them (they were added pretty late in the console's life). I'm grateful that we at least have the tools that we do, however glitchy they may be.
