Please help!

I have a ps3 phat CECHL04 model, VER-001. Warranty seal. No drop damage. MB seems pretty clean. Powers on normally then after connecting the hdmi cable it shuts off after 30seconds then starts flashing red, I also tried running the console using an av cable but the console started acting weird buttons often didn't respond to presses. This is my first time attempting to read syscon errlog.

I repasted the console when I first opened it because it was displaying a YLOD, thermal paste was really dry, now the YOLD seems to be resolved.

I apologies for my bad English.

1701 could point to HD problems

2124 / 2024 Points to Encoder but figure NEC out first is what i would suggest i have seen them codes with bad NEC

1002 RSX repalce nec tokins or check on OScope wave form to confirm sometimes what i do before i go nuts, i solder a poly cap or 2 to that vcore like here in picture this can clean the ripple a tad and maybe get you a diffrent result

I put one there but add asecond one to next test point over as well to really clean it up seen if anything changes!

Also bad caps or or coils can cause that but its rare and usally visible behind the NEC back area

Another good move is save your error log copy paste it then clearerrlog to clear it out and then powerup and see what is what then proceed

Hope anything there helps!

Thank you so much for replying I really appreciate it

I forgot to mention that I'm new to electronics repair, also I do not own an OScope nor I have the know how to operate one

Also the ps3 after enough power cycles it displays a msg briefly not even enough to read it and then it goes to beeping red light

I might have to buy x8 of RIP-Felix tantalizers to diagnose further and again thank you for your reply much appreciated
