I installed Rebug 4.75.1 on my slim tonight... Everything works perfectly! PS2 ISO mounted from Webman and played fine and the wireless sync worked (was still working from 4.70 Habib). When I enabled Cobra, it still had my old Webman install there and it kicked in. Everything is good!

[MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION] , That said, I have noticed something (it was the same in Rebug 4.70 as well). In the Settings menu on the XMB, it's missing the "video settings" entry. Why is this? FYI, I'm on "normal" settings for Rebug toolbox. FYI, Habib 4.70 Cobra had the "video settings".

That's because REBUG's default vsh doesn't support BD playback natively so that's why the option is missing, however you can have it back by swap XMB Menu type to RETAIL, from REBUG TOOLBOX.

Install Toolbox, enable REBUG mode, then change your XMB Menu type to Retail, then you will have your option back.

Thanks for the report :)

sorry~ my English is not good
I have been using non-cobra mode + mamba in ps3ita 4.65 dex, debug eboot & debug npdata work fine
But it can not work in rebug 4.75 d-rex non-cobra mode, I do not want to switch cobra mode,
because the cobra mode will clash with the mamba, do not want to change my modify Manager

Hey there,
Big thanks for the cfw [MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION]. At the moment i have Habib 4.70 Cobra Starbucks installed on my chechh04 Model. I hoped a long time that habib releases a 4.75 Cobra FW but he is busy atm. So i'll give REBUG a try ;D i have some questions about my installed hombreews and eboots. Does ccapi rev5 works with your FW and do i Need to change the eboots?

Hello everyone...

I start in the world of CFW at 4.46, and I always use cfw cobra... I never try rebug and to be honest I don't understand what's the difference or the benefits of the cfw rebug.

I really appreciate if anyone can explain me in normal words (no like a master cfw knower lol) the benefits of rebug... Thanks...

You have couple things that you misunderstood.

1. MAMBA won't be used at all as long as you're using COBRA mode.
2. Your manager crashes with REBUG 4.75 not because mamba. Maybe because it's missing payload support from the manager that you're using
3. If you specify what manager you're using then I maybe able to help you find out what's the causing problem.
4. Alternatively you can try [MENTION=46]haxxxen[/MENTION]'s modified mfwbuilder that has a task to add support of full fself support which I may consider supporting it for the next release
5. DEBUG EBOOT also works fine on non COBRA mode on all REBUG releases, it's just that NPDRM fself not being to work on all previous 4.xx release unless users using COBRA mode on 4.70 / 4.75
6. If you insist not changing anything I don't think there is any other way to help you, but maybe [MENTION=1449]Rancid-o[/MENTION] can help you answer about next released of their ps3ita cfw which may suit you better

Enstone didn't update his CCAPI, Currently on works with CEX mode, so you should be fine.

A lot of DEX users have been waiting DEX 4.75 support though. You're good

The benefits of REBUG is to have all in one features in one CFW.

In some perspective people call this bloatware having too many features that normal users do not need which may not suit you.
Using CFW has always risk of anything you may do, if your daily usage is based on general gaming, REBUG is not necessary.

REBUG basically has a lot of debug functions that may Developer or Game modder use, other than that there isn't much of benefits for general usage.

I'm sorry.
Before that question I was to help others. I feel your system is always the best I have been using your REBUG system.

[MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION] I really appreciate your answer... I want make another question... It's rebug equal safe to go online like others cfw??? I ask this because rebug have a lot of patches asi you say... I know the use cfw supposed risk... Thanks a lot for be patient with all my questions.

That's hard to say, REBUG has much more things can be detected than normal CFW, In my opinion, if you're all about PSN while on CFW, I wouldn't recommend REBUG.

Maybe [MENTION=56]Alexander[/MENTION]'s Ferrox 4.75 DB OFW may suit you, however I haven't been banned from REBUG so far.

The last ban I had was occurred while I was on non REBUG CFW [it was my own as well but the ban was caused by stupid testing .. lol]

[MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION] didn't you port Cobra onto 4.75 Starbucks (in beta) and [MENTION=20]habib[/MENTION] then released it cause you were both on holiday

Yes I did. But a lot of users seem waiting for his official. I see many people refuse to update just because it's named as beta or not directly ported by him

updated my PS3 Slim CECH-2104A from 4.70.1 to 4.75.1 everythings is fine

and ps2 isos working fine wireless with webman + rebug ps2 launcher like they did on 4.65.2, 4.70.1!

only contra is that webman is not auto enabled if you turn Cobra on like before...

Thanx again Team Rebug (up-to-date again)

Rebug has a very nice toolbox, included, next they should make a killer vsh menu. ;). Cheers rebug team & all others who make the ps3 better than out of the box!

I recently installed REBUG and all is well, there was a something weird that was causing a very noticeable lag for my entire system. Maybe b/c I already had bootplugins.txt and webMAN in /dev_hdd0. I forgot about it and went ahead enableding COBRA and webMAN with REBUG tools. Thinking that caused a conflict I then deleted both files in /dev_hdd0 but there was still lag. You think that was the issue?

I went ahead and reinstalled the CFW and now everything seems back to normal speeds.

My old fixed category_game.xml (fixed by [MENTION=6]bitsbubba[/MENTION]) that removed /app_home/PS3_GAME/ doesn't seem to work anymore. I used to copy it into /dev_blind/vsh/resources/explore/xmb/ I have since restored the original back but wondered if there was away for me to do this again as app_home is useless to me or at least I think it's useless.

Open category_game.xml in notepad and add html comment tag, and save. But before, be sure that you made backup of that file. And that webman running in background with dev_blind enabled. Because if something go wrong is only option to make it work again without reinstall fw.

Change this line:

Code:
<Query
				class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
				key="seg_gamedebug"
				src="#seg_gamedebug"
				/>

to look like this one:

Code:
<!--<Query
				class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
				key="seg_gamedebug"
				src="#seg_gamedebug"
				/>-->

Now copy back file to ps3, and reset console.

I think this should be done also for category_game_tool2.xml (if you search for "seg_gamedebug" there are two results in different lines).

[MENTION=129]blazinsmokey[/MENTION] both files need edited for REBUG (category_game.xml, category_game_tool2.xml) did I not edit them both?
