Thread of Banned Accounts

Seen the thread title and thought I was banned again :-P
We will probably never know what is triggering the bans.
We can get better idea if people left better detail of their settup, fw, apps, unofficial games, and what they were doing prior to the ban?

Actually you were never banned.

the xregistry does contain information about ur accounts as does the metadata indexer. though, I guess we should be grateful that we can connect to psn at all. with the 360, u'll get a dns error with a jtag/rgh/rjtag. the only alternative there is a service in which u connect to a server that sends a "fresh" kv to microsoft's servers like ur legit. that can cost as much as $30/day, yes that's right. :p

Firmware: HABIB STARBUCKS 4.75
Apps: MAMBA AutoLoader, PSNPatch(this didn't work)
Unofficial Games: A ton of them, and the trophies were synced with my banned account.

Here's what i can give to you.

not banned since the first ps3 jailbreak. Be smart and respect the network (that means no cheating or modding of games in anyway) You have a great chance of not being banned.
Also most of my logins have been spoofed and on a REBUG CFW. which people say is risky but in my experiance its not what so ever and the truth of the matter is that is speculation. IMHO Sony is limited in what they can view and see of your console. People REALLY have to remember the firmwares are the same per region and they have to be withiin the laws of many regions therefore they CANNOT view many things that many think they can.

All i can do is tell you my experiences and what i have seen and i have never been banned since the 3.41 days.

Nope, As most who sell these ID's are not on the up and up.. Sell Stolen ID's, Sell same ID to multiple people. ect.

This is not to say everyone does this, but we have seen it and we made the decision to not allow the sale of these on this forum for the protection of everyone.

Is it best to use a spoofer or actually use latest CFW to go online? Which is "safer"?

The only reason I ever saw to really update was when they change the security of the network when they went to 4.66.

not sure if a spoof would really affect anything, but the vsh.self will still be encrypted with the fw ur on. u can see the fw version in hex within the header. it's the line right above the elf file. though, there r much easier ways to determine if ur using cfw than analyzing whether ur spoofing or on a specific fw. sony is gonna go with whatever's easiest and reliable.

With my consoles, I started with rogero standard, switched to 4.46/7 rogero cobra.
Since the switch to habib 4.46 cobra-4.53-4.55 i used psnpatch, reactpsn, multiman, webman, retroarch, showtime
I switched to rebug in 4.65.1 cobra. Still use same homebrews (do not use any homebrew while online: multiman, showtime, reactpsn, retroarch, etc)
Since 4.75, i've spoofed with sen enabler, then used psnpatch to help sign on with rebug 4.70.1

I've logged several hours on online diablo 3, resident evil revelations 2, cod ghosts, and advanced warfare...I've synced trophies and i've played netflix/hulu, as well as youtube(nopsn) for several months now for over 8 hours at a time without a single ban, warning or issue.
I have logged into ghosts/advanced warfare, started my own private server and tested a few ccapi based rtm programs with rebug 4.70 a couple months ago, and once or twice in a room with other players but did not abuse it, and did not have any complaints or issues...

hope this information helps :)

I've said it before, i'll say it again...FakePSN (wireshark/proxy) might actually work if we had someone meticulous on it. We'd also find exactly what sony was looking at/for.... just an idea...

hmm...something that might make u all laugh is that some homebrew for the 360 actually has achievements. for example, the snes emulator (not retroarch) will give u an achievement for simply fast forwarding a game. now, that's not gonna give off warning signs. ;)

NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE BUT SONY, but IMHO it does not matter either way.

For years, I hear these easy ways that this and that can be spotted but all i can say my account has been safe. HONESTLY i think they are limited in what they can see and/or they do not even bother to look until there is something done out of the ordinary. I.E. modding cheating, disrespecting the network.

All i know is my original account is safe i do not have my IDPS spoofed or anything and i even got the email about the 3.41 dongle. Which that was spooted because of launching homebrew while on PSN back in those days when no one thought anything of that. Then a foreign title ID was logged.

I know most things you hear about PSN bans are incorrect, but sadly no one knows and will never know. I just know many things said i have personally debunked.

since people seemingly r banned at random, I can only speculate that people r banned based on the games they play. the eboot itself may contain checks of some sort. the 360's optical drive worked in such a manner. microsoft created a challenge system that, if failed, u were trying to boot a backup. that was eventually circumvented. however, there may be a similar system in play in which the eboot challenges the system to do what cfw can; if successful, ur on cfw.

I always use PSNPatcher when I play online (e.g GTA Online, LBP 2, Call of Duty Ghosts). BUT, I don't use PSNPatch when I update my games....Should the Patch be used at all times?

Games connect to a totally different server then PSN. I wouldn't stress it TBH. In fact PSN Patch blocks access to PSN unless syscallls are disabled but I think you can still update games so I think it's safe otherwise it wouldn't allow you to update.

I was going to post this :p

u can tell the difference between game updates and system updates. game updates will take u into the game, then give u the message; system updates will back u out to the xmb. atreyu187, my favorite floyd song. it was also their first hit:

they do make all current music laughable standard-wise. radio requires songs to be about 4 minutes long aside from certain inclusions such as "Hey Jude" which is around 7 minutes long.

I'm pretty noob to ps3 hacking but I've had my primary console running cfw rebug 4.70.1 for several months now and I grabbed the 4.75 spoofer when it became available and have spent several hours online with psn with no issues.

I have a separate account that I use on my hacked console though because I don't want to risk my primary account which has 6 or 7 years of data attached to it. I only log into my primary account from a completely legit console that I also have. I know two consoles isn't a good solution for everyone but as inexpensive as ps3 consoles have become, it might be a solution to consider. I think I'd flip my lid if I got my primary account banned, it's shared among all my (legit) PS devices (Vita, 3, 4).
