PS3 Trying to get an RTM Tool with HEN working

So im trying to get an RTM tool working on my PC, but when i try to open the tool itself i get hit with a prompt that says "You need to install CCAPI 2.60+ to use this library."

Now i had an idea of downloading CCAPI on my PC so the tool could work, while having PS3MAPI enabled on my PS3.

REMINDER:CCAPI IS NOT ON MY PS3.ONLY MY PC

My thought process going into this is, hearing CCAPI is a big nono on HEN systems maybe only using the PC version to run the RTM tool will avoid the bricking issue?

(Any questions or thoughts are all welcomed)

CCAPI on PC end is for communication with the actual tool on PS3 so that it can RTM the modifications over your system's IP address and syscalls, so the answer is no, CCAPI will not work on your PS3 by ONLY installing the PC client.

Also, I wouldn't just say that it's a no-no for HEN users... it's actually a no-no all the way around, whether you are using CFW, HFW, HEN or even what is suggested to use (CFW on DEX)

CCAPI does not address the vulnerabilities in your PS3's syscalls, which will leave access points open to attack and you could have your CID stolen and sold on ConsoleCrunch almost immediately as soon as you join an online match with another unbeknownst modder.

Personally, I hate CCAPI, having used it before and facing about 3 permanent bans for running mods on BO2 zombies, I cannot suggest it to anyone but if you want to be a fool and disregard what I'm saying, then have fun learning the lesson for yourself.

.SPRX mods can already be quite unfair in most games that still have online services and well, personally, I believe that people who want to use RTM mods in online multiplayer have nothing more than the utmost intentions to be a complete douchebag to other players on some game that they probably don't even physically own or deserve to play for that matter.

I also forgot to mention about using PS3MAPI paired with the CCAPI client for PC... But the short answer is no I do not think that will make it possible to append/inject .GSC mods into whatever match you are currently playing

Doing CCAPI injects on PS3 6-7 years ago kind of struck me as being similar to the process of how .DLL chams could be injected into clients for multi-player PC games such as Combat Arms which was a thing basically 15 years ago.

Not sure how replies work on this site so I'm hoping this is working as I think it should, I appreciate the reply and what you were saying wasn't exactly an answer to what i was originally asking but that's because of the way I explained it. I did not know you could have your CID stolen and the seemingly increased risk of a ban?, I'm new to modding and don't really know the in's and out's so I thank you for that info. The last paragraph i wont really address but i see what you're saying, again thank you for the replyy
