PS3 Trying to get some help with PS3 Controller

My dualshock 3 has the thumbsticks mechanically worn out. potentiometers were fine. i decided to switch over to the gullikit style 3 pin hall effect sticks. they work. but my center point and range is way off in the top left quadrant of the axis grid. i need to calibrate them.

i found a tool to calibrate thumbstick centerpoint. but nothing to calibrate the range of movement. Hoping to get any info here as i cannot find anything that allows calibration of the range of movement.

From what I know, in the original Hall-effect sticks used in the first revisions of the DualShock 3, the controller would actually reach the full electrical range before the stick physically hit the end stop - and that behavior was considered normal.
In your case, is the problem that the maximum is reached earlier on one side of the axis, while on the opposite side it takes much longer (or never fully reaches max)? Or is the offset mostly centered in one quadrant like top-left only?
