PS3HEN [TUT] Using RTM Tools on HEN

If you just keep clicking "ok" on the prompt, it'll open the tool and you can still use it/still connect.

I noticed a weird thing... the replaced dll it changes alone, sometimes when i go check, the rtm folder ,it has returned to the original ccapi.dll from the rtm tool and it's not the fake one, this change occurs all by itself.. alone.
So.. from day to day i need to keep replacing and putting the fake ccapi on the folders.

Anyway, i think i solved my problem.

RTM Tools on HEN

  • Setup

First thing you're going to need is HEN (obviously). If you don't have it already, you can get it from:
    https://www.psx-place.com/threads/p...-for-superslim-all-noncfw-ps3-consoles.23817/

Next, you're going to need webMAN. If you didn't get HEN with webMAN pre-installed, you can download webMAN from (as of writing this, 1.47.19 is the current version):
    https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases/tag/1.47.19
  • Setting up PS3MAPI

PS3MAPI should be automatically installed with webMAN. There's not much setup to be done with it. The first thing you should do is enter into webMAN's settings (either via the XMB or via http://localhost/setup.ps3). Open the XMB/In-Game PAD SHORTCUTS drop-down and enable PS3MAPI on DEL CFW SYSCALLS.

Once that's enabled, make sure to save and then hard restart your PS3. Then, once it's back on, enable HEN and wait for the webMAN XMB notification before continuing. If you don't get the XMB notification, restart your PS3 again. Sometimes HEN doesn't enable correctly, meaning nor will webMAN.
  • Using RTM tools

This works with the majority of RTM tools, but it might not work with them all. I have only tested a select few on a few games. If you have tested games that I haven't, inform me and I'll add it.

The first thing you require for this step is the fake CCAPI tools by PS3MAPI:
    https://www.mediafire.com/download/znig9z0dsbg6x7k/Fake_CCAPI.rar

Extract the DLLs from the RAR archive (Using winRAR or other programs). These DLLs are what are going to let you connect to your PS3.

Drag and drop these DLLs into the folder of your RTM tool (replace any existing files that are in there). Once they're successfully in there, open your RTM tool. Choose CCAPI as your connection method, and click connect. Type in your PS3's local IP (usually 192.168.*.* or 10.0.0.*) and click connect.

Once connected, attach to your game's process (usually a .bin). Some of the tool's options might not work. If the RTM/their options don't work, inform me and I'll mention it here.

installing the full version of webman causes my system to crash, and when i use the lite version the system outright wont start ps3mapi...any help?

Oh i see...

I wonder if this tool could be used for cheat tool for single player games...
I shouldn't see why not, GT6 have RTM tools , sadly that's only offline use now servers shut down, but it should provide a good testing environment which is relatively easy :)

1) Does anyone know why this RTM tool wont connect or attach on HEN? It works with every other game in the RTM (bo1,bo2,bo3,ghosts,mw2) not mw3.

2) I have a RTM tool with just the .exe application, no folders to attach fake ccapi files. Its a program that uses ccapi to connect. Is there any way of bypassing to connect to the ps3 to actually use the rtm tool....? Obviously ccapi causes a brick on ps3....

Thanks!

I've looked into this, the program simply wont connect to HEN. I've looked into it and some look to the official ccapi installation folder, some embed the dll into the exe itself. if you come across a fix let me know. but as of right now to my knowledge there is no way to connect these programs to HEN, sorry.

Very stuck here myself too. Is there any way of getting ccapi on Ps3Hen? I've heard of a few people working out how to do it...
Strange with Vortex Multi Cod RMT tool because it works on every other cod expect mw3 ugghhhh. Talked to admin of application and he cant figure it out either LOL?

your best bet would be to contact the developer of the RTM and ask for a copy that references HEN fake CCAPI files instead. the issue is that CCAPI and PS3MAPI are two very different methods of communicating with the PS3. therefore CCAPI on HEN is next to impossible. but i'd certainly like to see how some ppl managed it... however most likely they replaced in-exe DLLs somehow. that'd be my guess anyways.

Any way of getting Phantom mod menu MW3 to work on HEN? It requires CCAPI to be connect so bit of a long shot. Any help would be great. Thanks!

You will brick your PS3 if you try to install/use CCAPI on HEN, so please don't try it. It's for CFW compatible consoles only.

Yes I'm aware of that. I was wondering if any knew of a way of by passing it? I have CECH-3002A which is HEN, Any way of getting CFW on this model? cheers

No way of bypassing, at least not that anyone knows about. I'm pretty sure it's not possible due to the limitations of HEN compared to CFW. You could probably pick up a CFW compatible PS3 for pretty cheap these days though, so that's a workaround of sorts lol

in theory, depending on how the program was built, you could decrypt it into a windows VS solution with DnSpy and then replace the references with HEN .DLLs and rebuild it with VS

hehehehe. yall 4gettin one important tthing.
Is not p$n only u need to worry about but the rtm tool u connecting to stealing your idps.

My console is HFW 4.86 HEN 3.0.1 CEX. It connected but when I try to attach it tells me.. could not attach to game..
