i don't know , as i said depends on game it might boot and work well with no issues if u do have an Original EBOOT.BIN
but its better to use with games that do have updates... and its better to use PSN versions of the games that doesn't having Updates :D

Is there a way to test it because i do have the EBOOT.bin in the USRDIR folder? If not there seem to be some psn titles that do not have a rap or rif activation.

i don't think the EBOOT.BIN you have can work , coz that might have been resigned for CFW Devices only. not OFW
otherwise we couldn't tell you that it needs an Update if u want game to work :D
and for the PSN titles that doesn't having rap or rif , i guess people was able to create rap files for them ;)

If I dump it directly from the disk would it be accurate?
 
So i managed to get a ps1 game working using this video.
Now I am trying to do a ps3 game .pkg .rif files they signed successfully but the game doesn't show on the home menu under game :S If I go under game data it is there but that is it... :( What am I doing wrong I am doing the same thing. Han is enabled and I am signed in with my dummy account. My original resigner folder was deleted but i still had my idps and dat files (the clean ones) I used those in a fresh "extract/installed" folder.

i mean .. this whole tutorial is for Backup types of PS3 games which means yes .. it will work with them ;)

if u dump it directly from the original Disc then it might work coz there will be original EBOOT.BIN :D

my tutorial clearly said every part except last part (split PKG method) should have PARAM.SFO as GameData ...
however i don't know what method u using .. so if u wanted to use my tutorial use it , then report me if anything was wrong
EDIT: this tutorials is not for Official P$N PKG files .. it is simply about Backup games

past methods means CFW2OFW methods ... just search it and convert game based on that... as i said , just convert the game with those and then follow the tutorial from here ;)

First, sorry if this isn't posted in the right thread, but it seem to be HAN-related to me.

Has anyone got NHL15 or NHL16 to work with HAN-exploit?

When I read the NHL15 param.sfo in HxD I found that the
GAME ID is named: EP0006-NPEB02030_00-NHLHOCKEY2015DDR, but
the provided rap/rif-file is named: EP0006-NPEB02030_00-NHLHOCKEY2015DDP <--(this can't be right?)

NHL15 itself is provided as a Trial, which most likely means that the RAP-file should unlock something in C00-folder?
When it comes to NHL16 seems to have an invalid RAP that yields in a 80010017 ERROR.

I'd love to learn how to make an PKG/rif unlocked EDAT for HAN-installation, if someone has any input I'm all ears!

EDIT: Maybe I should just convert a BLUS/BLES version instead

i extract iso ps3 and put PS3_GAME folder in CFW2OFW, and rename it from BLES - BLUS to NPUB or NPEB and number of title ID of game.
Now it's create a folder name "NPUB123456" (example), i drag and drop folder created to make pkg bat master, and executa create_pkg.bat, it's right?
Don't need resign the pkg?

it seems you converted game correctly.
just put the converted game folder and run create_pkg.bat :D and then follow the rest of tutorial
 
It is necessary for the game to have an update? cuz I would like to install reaaaally old games like, DBZ Burst Limit, Naruto UNS (1), Sonic 2006, etc... but don't know if that would work cuz those games doesn't have any upates that I remember

games without update and with ORIGINAL EBOOT.BIN files MIGHT work

coz in OFW , any Eboot modification means fail.. so CFW games won't work on OFW without update = original EBOOT.BIN

yeah you need to re-enable HAN everytime you reboot the console .. and also every time you playing a PS2 game ;)

usually all Disc games having LIC.DAT and LICDIR there
so if you are trying to do an (already PKG PSN Game) you don't have to do all this , just resign pkg and its rap file and then install with HAN :D
