PS3 HAN [Tutorial] How to install PS3 Backup Games (Converted) on PS3 with HAN

the games we install using this method use double space on hdd? like the game we transfer+installation? cuz I should have about 80GB free still but I only have 20GB free rn, so there's like 60GB that idk were it is being used

When you use PKG linker it allocates double the size of the game when downloading and after installation it deletes the temp downloaded file
Your problem must be different

The PS3 will reserve 10% of whatever HDD you put in, so if you use a 1TB ( approx. 930GB), it will take 93Gb for itself, so you only get 837GB.

If you still think you are missing space, you could try rebuild database, that should get rid of any corrupt files.

mine is a 250GB one (230 for user's use in total), i'll try rebuilding database cuz theres a lot of space that I should have left

Well, its worse than that, cos with a 250GB you will only get 232GB on the disk, but then the PS3 takes 10% of that, so another 23GB gone, so you could end up with just 209GB usable free space after a format , if everything is working correctly.
 
installed Tales of Berseria with this method, and decided to try english patched version afterwards, uninstalled it, did the hole process, but got the message "the software are not installed on system" every single time, even when using original unpatched game, any ideia why?
 
I've been running into a brick wall. Learned about the Xploit recently and just today began to try doing it. Managed to install games that are .PKG without much issues. But, i can only find ISO's for some games i want to play.
My problem is: the ISO's come already unpacked, and most of them have no compability with the CFO2OFW, and every tutorial tells me to use it (to update and create the correct folders). So i have no idea how to proceed to install the games that are unpacked but have no compability. Any help would be really great.

Wait, I dont get it. If the splitting method doesn't work on 4gb+ games then what would be the use to splitting? Since you can just transfer files less than 4gb onto a FAT32 usb.
 
Can someone point the correct software to do this? I tried several with no good results....now i'm converting with CFW2OFW, creating pkg with make-pkg-bat-master but it only make a single pkg with the game, and transfering with pkg linker...it's my 4th attempt with various software versions of the tools... i had managed to send it to the ps3 but had an error message 80029530 and the game won't start...what am i doing wrong?
 
After all the converted games are installed, when you restart/reboot, do you need to enable han to run the game? or just enable han during installation and once the games are installed, the game will run even without han enabled?
