PS2 Twisted Metal Black freezes when I want to go back to the main menu

Hi My problem is in the game Twisted Metal Black, everything is normal and the game runs normally and you can play the stages. The main problem is when you want to go back to the main menu, the game freezes on a black screen without any sound, even the control stops working. Is the problem with the game or something else?
