PS2 UDPBD - Games not listed on BDM in OPL

Hello,

This is intended as a reply to this thread, but since I'm a new user I am restricted to only posting here. I am a big noob when it comes to PS2 modding so please forgive me for any stupidity, I am doing my best to learn.

I've copied the version of OPL in the thread above to my memory card and it launches without issue.

I am running the Linux version of udpbd-server on my PC which I downloaded from here: https://github.com/israpps/udpbd-server/releases. It reads my block device and I can see the IP address of my PS2 pop up in the console when I open OPL, so it is connecting successfully:

However, when I press X on "BDM" in OPL, nothing happens. It does not list any games and I cannot proceed.

I would think something is wrong with my block device (an exfat-formatted partition on my PC), but here's the thing -- I have previously successfully gotten udpbd-server working in XEB+ by following this guide:
https://github.com/MegaBitmap/UDPBD-for-XEBP

In XEB+ I can see all the games on my partition and play them with no issues. But I want to use OPL instead of XEB+ because it's quicker to launch (in theory) and doesn't require a USB stick in my PS2, which I've found to be quite finicky.

So, why does it work in XEB+ but not OPL? That's where I'm stumped. Help!

Did you change the PS2 IP address and gateway in OPL network settings to those specified in the instructions tab of the OP of the main UDPBD thread?

Are you using the version of OPL meant to be used for UDPBD, linked in the downloads tab of the OP of the main UDPBD thread?
