I just joined and I can't reply to a thread I'm in. I get an error message "Content cannot be submitted" something about possible spam.
You can not post external URLs until you have 10+ posts or something like that. This is to prevent spam.
Thanks for the information. I have just posted the issue I am facing with my PS3 update in a thread reply. Hope will get a solution soon.New members have a few restrictions to prevent spam./abuse on the forums. If you are having an issue, simply make a few more posts. They are in place for a reason and it is not a functionality error, it is intended. Please have some patience as a new member and appreciate it is done for the good of other members as much as anything else.
No problem. I actually moved your post about a blank screen when updating to its own thread, because that thread you posted in hadn't been updated since 31 August last year so thought you might get better visibility in its own threadThanks for the information. I was trying to post debug logs to HEN thread (3 different freezes captured to socat) and was getting this error "Your content can not be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements.".Reasons of this restrictions are to prevent spamming as You already read. But what it means? Imagine that bots can go through registration alone and posting as much they could wherever they would want. Besides annoyance and additional titanic job for moderators to removing it. It would be also huge overload in traffic for which someone must pay in real money. So if You don't want 2FA and/or captcha and any of that shit, we have some restrictions in contents posting. How long this will be enough, God knows but for now it is sufficient.
Might be because you're a forum noob. You may have to post more messages to increase in rank and have that restriction lifted.I was trying to post debug logs to HEN thread (3 different freezes captured to socat) and was getting this error "Your content can not be submitted. 1. Would be nice to mention the reason why "my content cannot be submitted". I was trying to edit text. Now i went to this forum to ask why i cant post logs, and got to this thread and only now i found out its because of link.
2. Technically i supposed to SPAM more messages on forum, before i can post useful (at least in theory) information containing crash logs.
Well.. I managed to post a link in Developer Tools forum. In very cryptic way, but at least i didnt have to spam messages on forum. have i nice day and thanks for answer.Hyperlinks, maybe some key words, I dunno. Yes you probably need "spam" by "raw posts" to reach post count which grants you freely posting.
