PS3 Unable to sign in to PSN?

I sign in and it just says :"Create a device password at this URL" etc etc with the QR code. I generate a password, insert the password, and it says the same thing again.

I think they suggest you make the password on the PSN app instead of through the system.

can't see that anywhere, not sure what happened. Was wondering if others were experiencing this or if it's just me. I've generated passwords about a dozen times at this point.

The PSN app is on the play store on Android. I dunno about Apple.

I have the app just don't there is an option to generate the device password, or set one.

I don't remember much, but I think the PSN app has a QR code reader in settings. Try through that. It may direct you to the PlayStation site.

You use your personal password to login to PS App, and then you must scan the QR code in order to generate the security token that must be used as the password in the PS3 login form.
