PS3 UNABLE TO UPDATE CFW

As Sulfvr stated, try to enable QA Flag from Rebug Toolbox or wherever and install the .PUP from recovery mode first

If that does not work, then open SEN Enabler and find the Custom Spoof in "SEN/PSN Options" and remove / fix it.

Sulfvr's idea is better... I do not know if mine will work.

Yeah, disabling SEN access will also work.

Not to disable SEN Access but to change the 9.99 back to 4.82 via the "Custom Spoof" section.

DISABLING SEN ACCESS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH INSTALLING A FW VIA RECOVERY MODE... I INSTALL .PUP FILES WITH SEN "ENABLED," ALL THE TIME.

HOWEVER, WHEN CFW's ARE FRESHLY INSTALLED, SEN WILL BE TURNED OFF UNTIL TURNED BACK ON

Set it to 4.82... why can't you just use Habib's QA to turn on the QA Flag and overwrite the 9.99 with what you are trying to install?

This should be solved by now as this issue is very small compared to most.

IF YOU CAN'T FIGURE OUT SEN ENABLER OR HABIB QA... WELL THEN, OFW IS CALLING YOUR NAME.

I don't know, I've never used anything by habib, I use REBUG...

Also, you have to pick 1 of the 2 options that we have given you

We can't really help when you are bouncing back and forth from SEN Enabler to Habib QA

...Either one should work, you should not have to do both

Do the QA Flag method first and if that does not work then Restore Default Spoof or set it to 4.82 yourself.

i did select restore default spoof and nothing happend also selected 4.82 from custom spoof and nothing happend
witch leaves me with the qa flag but i just cant press the buttons at the same time is there any way to avoid pressing the buttons i spent half an hour trying to do it or am i doing it wrong its L1 L2 R1 R2 R3 DOWN D PAD?

For button activation of QA Flag I believe it is L1 + L2 + L3 + R1 + R2 + DPAD DOWN

Pressing R3 is not needed. Also, here is video, done with REBUG's Toggle QA but should be the same as Habib's


After this, I advise you to replace Ferrox with REBUG and install Rebug Toolbox so that you can activate QA flag from there instead of having to use a button combo + the outdated version of QA flag that you have.

oh i think i have a problem because when i launch habibs qa flag my ps3 doesnt beep

and just like that, I give up... Ferrox this, Habib that, everything on your PS3 is 5 years old or older, very outdated. We help you with one problem but then another problem just magically appears from nowhere as soon as a fix is provided.

Whether your PS3 beeps or not that should have NOTHING to do with Habib QA... But again, I don't know, never used it

and just like it happened to my friend's PS3, Ferrox will turn your console into toast if that's what is on the console.

Try the 9.99 downgrader, never seen this myself but people seem to do all kinds of ridiculous stuff to PS3's nowadays

Next time, don't buy a PS3 from a ripoff artist who screwed that console up on purpose. They probably laughed when you bought it.
