.December '24:Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday's to everyone, PS3 Custom firmware developer @Evilnat has dropped by the psx-place forum's on this Christmas day to present the final build (4.91.2) of the developer's ps3 Custom Firmware suite, after a series of Open Beta releases, v4.91.2 now officially drops the "BETA" tag and in its final form for 4.91.2. If your Bluetooth is broken, yes. It may also include wifi, but I'm not sure.

AFAIK it should work fine on the B model.

 

I guess I misunderstood. I didn't realize that that version had no wifi, if I'm understanding now.

What do you mean with "remarrying the HDD"?. You can swap HDDs, but everytime you put a new HDD into the PS3, the console will prompt you to format it (erasing all the data).

Re mount I guess is a better term or word for it. It is the original hard rive. the games are still there. The system is acting like can read data only and can't write to the HDD

 

I fixed it I had to reset the system settings to default.

 

Why am i having so many problems with syscalls all of a sudden. Before i wouldnt have to disable syscalls at all, maybe once a month. Now i have to do it every time i log onto my ps3, this is very annoying and i resell consoles, and this issue is happening on those consoles as well. Please say you have a solution to this.

If you are referring to the message that appears about disabling syscalls when trying to log in, there is an option to disable it and it does not appear anymore

The option is: [Custom Firmware Tools > Cobra Tools > Toggle PSN Protection]

If you want a different ftp (if evilnat has one), you can probably disable it, then use the plugin openps3ftp. That's what I used to do. Just add the plugin to the plugins txt file. However, afaik, all ftp functionality, from rebug toolbox to webman mod, is based on that plugin's code.

Np. I don't know if evilnat has a built-in ftp (haven't had a cfw PS3 in years), but I remember disabling ftp with webman mod in favor of the plug-in, because the plug-in seemed to establish a connection faster. However, I know wmm allows for password protection via ftp in case others use your PS3.
