It's summer and you're bored; what do you do with that amount of free time? You create "Apollo", a new homebrew app for the PS3! :D

  • you might wonder... why is it called Apollo?
Apollo was the twin brother of Artemis, goddess of the hunt. Since this project was born using the Artemis-GUI codebase, I decided to respect that heritage by calling it Apollo.

So, without further ado, let's present Apollo:

Apollo Save Tool is an application to manage save-game files on the PlayStation 3.
The apollo-ps3 homebrew app allows to download, unlock, patch and resign save-game files directly on your PS3.

    Features:
    • Easy to use: no crypto-key configuration or advanced setup needed.
    • Standalone: no computer required, everything happens on the PS3.
    • Save files listing: quick access to all the save files on USB and the internal PS3 HDD (+ file details)
    • Save SFO unlocking: allows the user to remove the copy-lock flag, enabling transfer of Copying Prohibited save files.
    • Save files patching: supports Bruteforce Save Data and Game Genie cheat patches to enhance your save-games.
    • Save PFD resigning: allows the user to resign save files made by other users and consoles.
    • Save downloading: access to an Online Database of save-game files to download straight to your PlayStation.
    • Automatic settings: auto-detection of PSID and Account-ID settings.

can you tell which save-game are you trying to apply a cheat?
if you just try to "resign" a save, without cheats, you get errors too?

maybe there's an issue with that specific cheat or game, I can't answer without more information

Been trying to apply cheats to Fight Night Champion BLUS30608 for about a week. Tried your tool, CCAPI, all types of things lol. With your tool it just sits there on the save.

I don't have the game, but from what I see the save-game cheats are quite simple. The only thing that seems a bit odd is the patch position, unless the data file is actually over 6 Mbytes.

If you want me to check, using Apollo try to export the save-game as .ZIP , and then share the .zip of your game. With the file I'll be able to do some further analysis.

In any case, if you want to cheat, you can also try editing your save using Bruteforce Savedata.

Hi I've tried butesave force multiple times, just corrupts the save. I tried multiple ways to apply through there. Here is my zip attached.

Hmm just corrupts the save nothing works... Wish i could just RTM mod it, since I can see the regions in hex editor.

well, I reviewed your save, and the cheat codes must be wrong or incompatible with your save, because your SYS-DATA file is just about 500 Kb, so there's no way a patch can be applied at 0x1D0C2C or 0x5F1E90.

The only cheats that might work with your save are the ones in the "Online Boxer" group, because those are within the file range... but then again, if you said that Bruteforce Savedata didn't work, then I'm not sure you'll get any different results.

My bad I posted wrong file! But I finally got Bruteforce Savedata to work. I was no encrypting everything, when i would re-encrypt after applying cheats. Your tool stil freezes, but im good for now.

thats good to see bucanero thanks a lot for releasing this new fix i will give it a try to see how the region change will work, i will let you know if anything goes wrong, have a nice one

tested the newer version, its really nice to have that ability for cheats to apply on save file instead, and that bulk-savegame resigner is a god send, unfortunately there are some save files that is corrupted when attempting to copy it back to hdd. so far the gamesaves that I have issue is:

- Odin Sphere
- Beyond two souls

I also get the same error if I try to resign it using aldostools bruteforce save resigner so I guess this is not the apollo's fault. Using it with PS3 save resigner, the program complains about missing games.conf configuration for the save file, I assume this relates something on the missing secure_file_id for the specific save data.

you may be able to find a newer games.conf somewhere...i remember having to do that.

EDIT:
i didnt have to get it for this tool. it was for something on pc.

thanks for the feedback :encouragement:

have you tried resigning those 2 saves (odin, 2 souls) individually, or only when doing the bulk-resign?

I'd like to know what message Apollo is giving when you resign those saves one by one. (it says everything ok, or gives error, etc)
I guess that if the saves show up as "corrupted" when you try to copy to HDD, then the PFD resign failed somehow

I checked on the games.conf included in Apollo, and both games have the secure_id information, but since you said that you also get errors from Bruteforce Data then I wonder if something else is happening... (perhaps you have a different game version?)

Here's the secure_id info if you want to test with Bruteforce data:

yep tried doing the individual resigning, it throws an error with "Error! Save file couldn't be resigned"

here's the gameid that have no secure_file_id

NPUB31850
BLES02241
NPUA81088

alright, now I guess the mystery is solved. For Asdivine Hearts, there's no secure_id dumped at all, so if you can dump the secure key I'll be happy to add it.

Easy way to get the key: if you're using HEN (or CFW like rebug), check the Hybrid firmware tools, in the "Dump" section there's an option to dump Secure File Ids. Just enable the option, then run the game and load a savegame. The secure key will be saved in /dev_hdd0/tmp/cfw_settings.log

About "Beyond 2 souls" and "odin sphere", the title_ids of your copies are not listed in the current games.conf file, so without the secure_id data the resigning fails.
I imagine that those versions are using the same hashes, so I'm going to update the games.conf with the missing title_ids. When the update is ready you can use the "Update application data" option from the settings menu and you'll get the updated config files.

If you want to do it manually, edit the games.conf like this:
