PS2 (UPDATE) Using Laptop HDD for PS2?

Since the previous hdd had to be formatted in order to use it and I didn't want to do it, I decided to buy a new one. So, how to use it for PS2?

I don't understand this part, you said "we just need 1 folder on the root", what is the name of the folder, APPS?
And then below that you said "make 3 new folders and name it APPS", you can't name 3 folders with the same name, right?

Or can i just copy and paste all the files from my flashdrive to hdd? (After i format the HDD) It's already have all the files needed like APPS, OPL, VMC, etc.

This is a slight typo. I meant 1 folder named APPS.

But yes, you can transfer all files from flash drive to USB HDD.
 
Disk Managment and junk from right button mouse in Explorer are two different things. Format via the first one and You will be able to choose i.e FAT32.

What do you mean by the first one, disk management?
The right window is from disk management, and the left one is from explorer format option, both of them didn't have FAT32 option.

*After reading more on Google i found that Windows default can't format drive with more than 32GB to FAT 32.
*So i found some software that might be able to do it, but it's better to ask here first. The software are GUI Format, FAT32 format, and Seagate Wizard (although my HDD is not Seagate, idk if it's gonna work)

Strange then. To be honest, I don't using Windows for disk operation for long time, it always was stupidly limited.

If You still have some problems with it, use GParted and You will get Your freedom. ;) It is part i.e of Live distribution of Mint since (at least) v18.0.
