@Xaber is right about this issue. I just reproduced it.
The toggle option to disable grouping content for the games list does not work anymore. Whatever setting preexisting the installation of 1.45.10 remains always the same.
I tested on 1.45.09 & the feature worked very well so there must be a regression on 1.45.10.

Also I believe there's another issue when changes are made to the selection of categories to scan for, the settings aren't applied on reboot. If you uncheck or check a category like say psx, save & reboot, the status of the category does not change on first reboot but only on second reboot. As if the refresh xml was not taking place on 1st reboot??
I also tried forcing a Refresh Xml manually after changing a category setting but before rebooting, of course that works fine.

Btw during my tests I left the launchpad related options unchecked & I didn't use the launchpad at all.

Thank you for the report.

I checked the changes made in 1.45.10 and honestly I didn't see any suspicious code. Anyway I'll try to reproduce the issue on my system when I get some free time and post the fix if I find something.

FYI I tested last night webMAN 1.45.10 and it worked properly on my system (4.80.1)

Please check that /dev_hdd0/xmlhost/game_plugin/mygames.xml in being replaced after you refresh the XML (using prepNTFS or SELECT+L3)

Regarding the category refresh issue, I already tried using prepntfs after changing categories, that works fine. A simple refresh xml however does not do the trick & neither does one reboot.

As to the grouped content issue, am surprised that you cannot reproduce it.... The toggle won't work, no matter what I try, same as @Xaber. I must temporarily change webftp_server.sprx to disable it.

Could someone else confirm that the disable grouped content option in wMM 1.45.10 works or not?

Well even with a confirmation from others I cannot fix an "issue" that I cannot verify.

It's besides the point Aldo. You may not be able to reproduce & fix but I would think it's still good to confirm there is a problem...
2 people having the same problem is strange, more than 2 it's a real issue...

Disable grouping of content in "webMAN Games"
Dont work in this release :(
Whenever you use a feature like this one & changes don't get applied on reboot, you can try 2 things:
1. A second reboot which will fix it.
2. Use prepNTFS (even if you don't have ntfs hdds), it will force the refresh.

It appears that for some reasons a couple of wMM features aren't consistently applied on first reboot atm. Joonie just reproduced the issue with grouping content as well so it's now 3 people with the same problem. Disabling grouping was applied on first reboot however when he tried to re-enable grouping it took him 2 reboots for the setting to be applied.
The workarounds above can be used until the situation evolves.

I never used webman... but the other day i found a new trick that i think you are going to like :)
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/index.php?title=XMBML_Coding&diff=43507&oldid=43490
You can use it in webman to resize the covers for the different cover formats, someone should try it and tell me if it works when used at the folder level deepth used by webman
If it does work dont start implementing it yet, i have another new trick related a bit with this that could help to reduce the size of the file mygames.xml

To resize icons use this 2 attribute keys, whoever that tryes it please for the first test use this values i posted (100 for both), there is a reason for it, read below...
Code:
<Pair key="icon_fixed_width"><String>100</String></Pair>
<Pair key="icon_fixed_height"><String>100</String></Pair>

This needs to be added for contents with cover (ps3, ps2, psx, psp, dvd-v, bd-v.... and eventually to sacd if what deank is working on finally works) in the attributes for webman items listed in the file mygames.xml
With this i mean... for all contents, and only if the user has covers for it (otherway displays the default discs icons for everything that are squared and in that case should not use the trick im talking about, the other exception is PS3 format that uses the PIC0.PNG that is rectangled)... i dont know the code, but with this you should know where it needs to be added

---------------------------------------
The reason to make the first test with 100x100 is longer to explain, all visual or design stuff is hard to explain with words (specially with my crappy english) but i will try anyway to short the amount of tests needed to calculate the proportions widthxheith that keeps the aspect ratios of the standard sizes used for every cover

The point is... if you look at how the actual version of webman displays the covers... you will notice the selected one is a bit "separated" from the others, and scaled up a bit... forget about this one
The others in the background are the important ones... note all them are like "sticked" to the next or previous one, like consecutivelly, there is no pixel of gap in between, and this means they are using the maximun height posible
So... making them bigger looks like is going to look as shit (they will overlap or something ugly)
Actually, there is no need to change the default value of height
The only reason to change it is to improve a bit the look of webman by making them 1 or 2 pixels smaller... this will create a gap in between them of 2 or 4 pixels that i think it looks better instead of all covers sticked together (im not really sure if i would use this though, is something i would try to see the result and then decide)

So... the change in height is not really needed... because are using the maximun height, but what height is that in pixels exactlly ?
Iirc... when you look at the default "album" icon images inside explrore_plugin.rco are 128x128... but that is not the real size displayed.. are scaled on real time to 160x160 iirc (not sure how to test this, i dont remember where i did see the 160x160 actually so maybe is not accurate)

What is needed to change (for all covers, except maybe the psx cd's that are squared) is the width
To calculate that width you need to use a formula that includes the default height (to dont break the aspect ratio)
Code:
Basic maths rule
known_source_height * known_source_width = known_target_height * unknown_target_width
So...
unknown_target_width = ( known_source_height * known_source_width ) / known_target_height

known_source_height and known_source_width are the standard size of covers for that format we can find in internet (and should be the same used by other backup managers)
known_target_height is the 160 i mentioned that uses XMB to scale the squared icons, maybe im wrong though, at this point i cant imagine any way to meassure it accuratelly (though sometimes when messing with images in PS3 what i made was to display the image and count the pixels on my TV with a magnifyer glass, lol, this works)

Congratulations again for Webman Launchpad!
I am in Rebug 4.81.2 with Webman 1.45.10 full version integrated, Retroarch 1.3.6.
I installed Prepntsf 1.17 and my hard drive is in NTSF.
Now I would like to know the correct configuration in order to have my "Roms" with their images in
the folder "read my games with Webman", but not in Webman Lauchpad (only Iso).
I tried the configuration for Webman 1.45.04 that I saw in this forum, but it did not work.
Thank you for your ideas.

@aldostools Thanks a lot for your hard work.

I wanted to recommend that making the option (Disable CFW syscalls and delete history files at system startup) to keep PS3MAPI enabled better.

Another better solution would be making something like the same combo box that's in (DEL CFW SYSCALLS) shortcut to be an option to choose at the startup option so that i can choose whether I want the PS3MAPI enabled or disabled on syscall disabling at startup but the two boxes shouldn't be linked or we won't be able to fully disable later.

The Benefit would be that if for some reason someone forgot to manually disable the syscalls, He/She would still be partially protected and it would add more benefits to the startup disabling as it is mostly rendered useless now except for non-gaming sessions. Thanks again for the update.

Not a good suggestion at all, sorry.
This is the kind of advice that noob modders keep giving everyone on the Internet & it is complete nonsense.
You are only supposed to disable syscalls before going online. There is not one single good reason to do what you suggest.

Obviously you don't seem to realise that disabling syscalls will mess with Cobra/Mamba features. You would trade messing with Cobra for a so called partial protection which efficiency you cannot prove in the slightest?
It should never be done!

If you want to be protected, don't mod games & don't cheat online, respect the network you won't get banned, it is that simple in practice.

"bguerville", I would like the advice of an expert, I am an amateur who would like to progress with your help.
It's nice and I will always be happy to help like all my fellow mods & advanced users but don't confuse me with some ps3 guru that I am not.... Lol

@AhmedSamy
Like @Joonie said it does not require an expert to realise that disabling syscalls means disabling CFW features!
Also partially disabling the syscalls is a feature for developers not for users. Using it for protection purposes is yet another nonsense recommended by noob mod users to general users who should not even consider such practices...
Users should rely on using psnpatch alone properly & forget all these useless carry on about extra safety.... The only people looking for extra safety are those taking huge risks with some game servers, if you are not one of them, why should you care? And if you are a modder taking those risks then you will get banned no matter the so called extra safety measures you describe...

No worries, I had already edited my post when I realised I forgot to mention the other user I was actually replying to..

Regarding the ROMs configuration, it has not changed. But you need
1. the full wMM edition (make it is Full by checking at bottom of the localhost/cpursx.ps3 page) of 1.45.10
2. the PKG Launcher.
After all us installed properly, do you get a ROMs option in the setup page?
Get the 2 pkg files from github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases
