PS3 [UPDATE] webMAN MOD 1.46.00 - Games mounted from XMB without webbrowser_plugin (using idle_plugin)

Plugin development continues on the PS3 for Custom firmware users, this week alone we have seen some new features added lin PSNpatch by KW (w./ Homebrew Blocker) and we have seen deank back with new updates to webMAN that added NTFS Support / a new XMB game loading that no longer uses the web browser trick (webbrowser_plugin), in other words the flash you see when mounting a game on the XMB In,webMAN MOD v1.46.00 the plugin incorporates that function but in a different way, this is due to the differences under the hood of the plugin. As webMAN MOD contain different support for various add-on/features that the original project by deank does not support/contain so the usage and handling of things has to be done differently to fit each project the best, for an explanation that is far better then i could offer i suggest checking out the differences between the implementation by deank and then by aldostools as its very well explained in our forums by

  • Update (2/2/17) webMAN MOD 1.46.01
    • FTP Server uses again the same algorithm on all editions.
      In 1.46.00, the FTP Server in full edition was based on the original webMAN due initial issues with NTFS library. The issue now has been fixed

  • webMAN MOD 1.46.00
    • Games now are mounted directly from XMB without the webbrowser_plugin
    Thanks to deank for the new XMB proxy included in webMAN 1.46
    • Re-structured the project : Moved all the sub-projects to _ Projects _ folder

    In my tests I had issues opening the Internet Search option (found under Network.menu of XMB). So in wMM 1.46.00, I used idle_plugin, instead of kensaku_plugin or xai_plugin (which is already used by CFW Settings menu). According to psdevwiki, this idle_plugin doesn't have subs in the interfaces, so I guess it is safe to remap it.

    I also omitted the mapping of .rco, because it's redundant (there is one file in dev_flash). This saves a few extra bytes in code.

        • 'Check for AUTOBOOT.ISO on startup' must be checked
        • The USB drives to be checked are the ones selected in /setup.ps3 (except /dev_ntfs)
        • The game must be named AUTOMOUNT.ISO or a JB game copied to the root of the drive
      • Added /minver.ps3

Welcome aldostools have the same problem with "select" no shows "sLAUNCH" or "vsh_menu_wm" (I tested the newest m github full version 1.47.00)

Rebug 4.81.2 Rex, webman 1.46.02, psnpatch 2017/b, launchpad 0.18 works fine
update to 1.47.00 seems to have freeze when attempt to load game (on webman games and on webman launchpad) tried from internal, external as well. Revert back to 1.46.02 and all is well again. Full edition was installed in both circumstances, min+ profile used.
Because of the freeze:

Simply use Webman Mod 1.46.02(fullversion) and the sLaunch of the
Webman Mod 1.47.00 beta!
File slaunch.sprx delete from the webman 1.46.02 and then replace it with the slaunch.sprx of the Webman Mod 1.47.00 (full version)
under:
/dev_hdd0/game/UPDWEBMOD/USRDIR
and
/dev_hdd0/plugins Swap.
Just exchange this file with each other ...
And already runs the whole thing

And then it works.
Only error is:
If you leave Multiman and then want to play a game via Webman Mod.
It is freezing,but the problem fixes, in which one
"press the start button for sLaunch and then press L3 again for XML Games list update"!
Before you stop with the webman mod continue.

I'll just wait, i know that 1.47 is a test version and its not a huge deal for me to revert to working. It's my room mates so the more fluid it works the less I gotta play techie for it lol

I know i need to get ahold of @Death_Dealer to get access to the new minecraft elite edition too
Something is weird with their site, not letting me register n stuff... :(

My buddy's kid loves that elite edition, and it's still at 1.16 lol....
 
Webman mod full 1.47.00 is freezing my ps3 this way

I keep getting freezing in the xmb when I enter the multiman and go out and I'll ride game with webman mod

- Fix games is not performed on latest CFW (4.81)
- Sort now use swapping of addresses instead of copy values
- MD5 now use app memory container when available
- Increased buffer for MD5 from 128KB to 256KB for MC
- Added documentation from devwiki to paf.h
- sLaunch MOD now can filter using 'type' field (if available)

The Freezing issue is fixed, but there's another bug on language, i don't know how but if i put the Portuguese language, it still shows some text in english, 30% of the text in portuguese and 70% in english.

Thank you for your feedback... I have tested various languages and they are showing fine.
Please try reinstalling the PKG again... Also check if it happens with other languages.

Reinstalled the PKG here, still the same bug, it happens with Portuguese, Chinese languages (haven't tested the others) but the english language is fine... 1.46.02 is fine too, no bugs with language, this bug started on 1.47.00.

Exactly the problem I have also. When one comes from the multiman and goes to the webmanmod and wants to play a game. Because it freezes the ps3.can restart the ps3 only over the power button. The problem has not been fixed yet. Can it be helped?

I will fix that again:/ not sure exactly why that keeps happening. Haven't been able to even get on my computer much recently:( but at some point soon I'll get the few bugs that are in the current version fixed. We have arc mods released in the latest version tho^_^ just scratching the surface of what we can do.There was another group supposedly doing the same work as me but I've seen nothing about it. Just some info for ya.

I'm on CFW 4.81 REX REBUG COBRA 7.51 - Webman 1.47.00 + slaunch
Same problem, blackscreen, then I find myself in installing firmware.


Other things to note is verified.

in slaunch me wrong I risiultano left Groups:

Group displays the PS3 game PSXISO
PSX Group View game PS2ISO
Group displays PS2 PS3 game

Slaunch not scan the files ntfs

Another problem if I start a game on NTFS partition from iso slaunch me error, mount failed.

If I mount Webman the same game, I get blackscreen or freez on xmb or I find myself in the firmware installation

It also occurred that after these causes the list of game visualized only game in FAT32 and not NTFS partition in the games, even if scanned with prepntfs could not update the list.

Loading /net0/ on System Start is not working with v1.47.00, with v1.46.02 it's working fine.
Please check the ps3netserver functionality with next Builds.

@DEATHROW I am having no problems on most recent version of 1.70.00
I would recommend re downloading and installing wMM
It is updated with most recent commits
