PS3 [Update] webMAN MOD v1.47.29 /.30 - Latest changes to (AIO) PS3 Plugin (CFW/HEN) by Aldostools

.Following the previous update, developer @aldostools continues to progress / improve and continue with great support on the webMAN MOD plugin for a jailbroken PS3 (CFW or HEN). In recent updates the developer has been adding even more functionality and stability in wMM. While version 1.47.28 was released back in late May the dev has made several commits to the version before upping to 1.47.29 in recent days.

Looking at the recent changelogs there is a number of significant changes seen in these recent updates. A few of the many include the updated MAMBA (8.3), which now provides detection of burnt (Copied) PS3 Disc, Other changes include a "Remote file viewer", ps3netsrv improvements and fixes, PrepISO improvements and updates to various tools / optional add-on to webMAN MOD along other changes to the plugin as well.     Changes after the initial release of 1.47.29 include:

    • Fixed regression mounting game folders in ps3netsrv (issue #386)
    • New attempt to fix XMB freeze caused by other backup managers
    • Fast screenshot of XMB is now 80% smaller & borders are cropped
    • Added option to /setup.ps3 to NOT mount GAMES folders in /app_home
    • Memory of game process now can be navigated using LEFT/RIGHT keys (/getmem.ps3mapi)

I like this feature, btw on PS3 HEN, if Enable Dynamic Fan Control, enter mmCM always freeze.
Can you be given an automatic feature if we choose mmCM automatically switch to syscon?

That is not exactly possible because there is a gap between the time the user launches a game or homebrew, and the moment when webMAN MOD detects that it is running. The console would freeze if the dynamic fan control is executed in that period.

I have attached a test build that does something different: it doesn't perform any lv2 poke in the first 15 seconds after the launch of an application or game. After the 15 seconds, the dynamic fan would continue working as usual.

Please try it a report back if it still freeze.

Well, after rebooting and turning on the dynamic fan control by a combo, webMAN still switches to the AUTO MAX mode. So looks like after the reboot it does forget the setting.

Do you have saved Auto #2 in /setup.ps3? The change that I made returns to the saved setting (auto or auto #2). If the plugin starts in SYSCON or manual, it will use the standard dynamic fan control (not auto #2) as the default.
 
Hi there, can you make Monster Hunter 3rd PSP compatible with webMAN MOD?
I can't load the english patched version. I get a black screen with the psp remastered loader.

It does not depend of the backup manager. It depends of the emulator, how the ISO is built and the setting used. In general PSP2PS3 packages have a better success ratio than ISOs alone, because it offers more options that can be configured (EBOOT patches, minis.edat, saves).

However, the compatibility of the PSP emulators (mini & remaster) is normally poor: less than 50% of the games are playable without issues or minor issues.

According to this post by @atreyu187: "Monster Hunter Portable 3rd English translation works with save file injection"

I'm not sure what he means with "save file injection", you can try asking him.

In this compatibility list: http://tinyurl.com/PSPPS3 the report is that the game is "Unplayable" and "Black Screen/Freezes after character creation. As a Remaster or mini. Tested with english patch."

BTW The japanese version of the game is available commercially as PSP Remaster for PS3

Amazing master, hopefully the master can add features if it detects the CFW2OFW game automatically unmount emulated disc or unhook dev_bdvd.

Try updating to the latest build...
Added the combo L3+L2+START to enable AUTO #2
Or you can create a custom combo using the new web commands:
/cpursx.ps3?mode=syscon
/cpursx.ps3?mode=manual
/cpursx.ps3?mode=dynamic
/cpursx.ps3?mode=auto
 
Master, the fan control condition is disabled, press the SELECT+D-PAD LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN buttons, it will enable fan control, is that normal?

Yes, because these combos are interpreted as you want to change the fan settings. So the fan control is enabled if it's turned off.

You can disable these combos in /setup.ps3 if you don't need them.

The Japanese version works just fine, apparently the problem lies in the patch that somehow corrupts the game. I've managed to make it work with the patch and I've injected the save for what I've gone through from the character creation screen, but when I enter the guild room it freezes, apparently that area of the game is not accessible due to some kind of modification the patch makes.
Your code works excellent, the problem is in this case of the team that made the patch to the english in 2013. The funny thing is that if the game works when emulated on PC, this is very strange and discouraging. Thanks for your recommendations I could at least play the tutorial missions. Greetings!

Before loading into game, screenshots work 100% of the time.

However...
Loading into a game, then pressing PS button followed by L2+R2+Select+Start combo... results in nothing.

Also... PS button, select+R3 = freeze.

Can someone School me?

L2+R2+SELECT+START = XMB SCREEN SHOT (not ingame)

For ingame, press PS button go to Photo column and select the option save screenshot.

Ok I know it's not as useful as you want.

If you teach me a better way of how to do it, I'll be happy to add it to wMM.
I dont know the limits of PS3 and what can be done. If you want a idea, maybe "Take Screenshot" button can be triggered by a commond from another device. If available, "In-XMB Screenshot" feature can be set to work inside the game as well.
