Is there any news about the version 12.0 jailbreak? I recently bought a ps4 console from a gaming site and it came with the latest software update, unfortunately it was 12.0. Hoping to hear good news

Probably never happen on latest. Just disable the Internet. I personally don't want the latest hacked. The hackers would likely be sued, and it would ruin online for legit users, like myself.

How does getting a jailbreak ruin online for you and your legit user's??

Jailbroken consoles do not belong online plain and simple. If you saw how much it ruined PS3 online, you wouldn't ask that question. Besides, most people don't deserve a jailbreak, because they've contributed nothing and are getting everything for free.
 
Dude waiting is the best we can do. last thing we need is extracted bootloader keys and offsets for both userland and kernel exposed to the public (can't forget what happened to PS3) unless Sony approves it otherwise. besides stay on that firmware and DO NOT UPDATE if you want Jailbreak on 12.00 once an update comes out anyways. I plan to separate my regular CUH1001A for planned jb in future and keeping my own new PS4 Pro up to date.
 
I didn't mean to come off as an ass, but I've invested a lot of time and money into psn and the ps4/5, so it would be terrible if the latest got hacked, and people were getting everything I've paid for for free and more. that's my problem with it.

Why so much hate?? Jailbreak is not for getting free stuff..
Also many gamers are from poor countries, even if ps4 or even a ps3 are old generation they can't afford buying legit games. Not so much you could do with a let's say 150$ monthly salary. Could be even lower in some doomed countries. Now assuming you're from a 1st world country getting 2000~3000$ per month you have no right to phrase your words like that. Not to mention even if a 12.00 jailbreak was out, it's easily detected and there'd be mass banning of jailbreak users who went online.

Well, I'm on disability, and I still buy games. I get $629/month. I've also donated over $100 to devs. It just seems some people make excuses for piracy.

People use piracy as the reason to keep your property oppressed from being used to it's fullest potential. 1 bad use case will never win over the many benefits of unlocking your technology. Which corporate would like you to believe that you don't own any right to. It's corporate greed is 98% at fault for it's own issues.

This is a very old cat/mouse discussion. There's right and wrong on all sides. Over the many years we've seen and heard it all. Lol

Remember opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one, as it should be.

No shame in your game, keep up the great compiling work you have been doing for the community to play with all the homebrew available.

thanks. your post means a lot to me. I don't want to come off as a bully to the scenes, but I think most people would feel the same in my shoes. even if you can't donate money, people can still donate time towards testing or researching. the fact that the playstation series has a recovery mode should keep it safe for the most part. I simply don't like the fact that some people are selfish, and don't want to contribute time, or money, to anyone but themselves. it's the same people who feel they're in a position to judge others who get annoyed by this or by other members, manipulating the scenes. the playstation scenes have never had a lack of that, mostly because the average user knows nothing, I'm sorry to say.

I have the 12.0 jailbreak, like I've had the past three latest, because I was one of the testers till I sold my PS4, but I'm still given them out of respect. That's how those new games are backported, but I'm not going to share it. I'm not allowed to even if I wanted to. I wouldn't though considering there are people like you in the scene. Hackers don't want the same thing to happen that happened to the PS3.

This is why the PS4 scene is soo toxic, I feel like I want to get as many PS3 games through used very good. I have batocera Linux and ps3 disc dumper. I always back them up to my hard drive incase my SSD fails.
