PS4 Updating game patchs from sony

Hi

I wanna know if its safe to dl patches from sony servers while on jb ps4, everytime i load a game i get update files , patches , i know you can get update patch files on ps3 on cfw and you can use there patch game will still work (ive let ps3 patchs dl and install and i have no issues with the games or cfw) so im wondering is this the same with ps4 or should i cancel and delete the patchs from sony.

P.s ive already unticked the boxes regarding ps4 updates an game updates so im not sure why im getting patch files from sony.

If someone could advise me on this id be grateful.

About patches, probably this marks you as license breaker. But no one, has been banned because of that yet I think. At least I never heard about that.

Would you reccomend letting the game patchs dl an install or do i cancel and delete? Sorry if its a silly question

Keep in mind that if your game isn't official package (game installed from PS4BD-ROM or bought on PlayStation Store) but so called fakepkg, then patch and/or DLC will not apply.
