PS3HEN Upgrading PS3HEN, System Firmware, Apps

I want to update my System Software, PS3HEN, and all the apps that I use. I have not used the ps3 in a year, so I forget how some of this works. It was jail-broken by me 2 years ago.

Is it worth updating or should I stay on the same software revision? How do I upgrade the System Software, PS3HEN, and all the apps?

I connected the PS3 to the internet and tried to update the system software, however, it is locked:
"Until further notice, remain on this firmware. Visit ps3xploit.me for new exploit announcements regarding newer firmware versions."

Current system:

PS3 Superslim CECH-4301C System Software 4.90

PS3HEN 3.2.2

webMAN 1.47.44

multiMAN 4.85.01

IRISMAN 4.90

To update PS3HEN, I believe you must first update to the latest hybrid firmware (HFW 4.92). From there, you may or may not have to reinstall/update PS3HEN itself. I personnaly only use CFW like EvilNat so it's a different process compared to PS3HEN (although your CECH-4301C won't support CFW), but yeah, start with updating to HFW 4.92.

You could update to HFW 4.92.1 - tho I don't see any benefits to do that (I'm still on 4.84).

PS3HEN 3.2.2

You can update to 3.4 - unless you disabled automatic updates, HEN should update as soon as you enable it.

As for the other apps, go to https://store.brewology.com/?ref=news (must bookmark) or https://www.psx-place.com/resources/categories/playstation-3-ps3.3/ and grab the latest PKG versions.

Where do I configure HEN? I don't see anywhere I can enable automatic updates.
I disabled automatic system updates long ago.

HFW Options, in the network category column. I was not talking about automatic system updates, i was talking about automatic HEN updates.

Thank you ShaolinAssassin, my system and apps are all up to date.


If I wanted to upgrade the system software and get the latest blu-ray codecs the other minor security patches from sony, I could choose to go to the HFW options and uninstall HEN temporarily, upgrade the system, then reinstall HEN.
Although, I am not certain if the stock system software will start deleting my apps if I switch to it.
