PS2 Using HDD in a different PS2?

My apologies, If i were to remove my HDD from my ps2 and plug it into a different ps2 would it work without having to reformat?

Yes. SCPH models does not encrypting, nor signing any data - with potential exception of games which using installation on HDD their data (do not mislead it with disc images installation for HDL/OPL).

Bootable HDD could not boot on another PS2 which has not changed specific flag in NVM. But that can be easily fixed by FHDB re-installation or maybe KELFBinder too (@El_isra [?]).

I've been moving my hdd from ps2 to ps2. I put FMCB on the memory cards and then keep them with the ps2 and move the hdd over.

I apologize if I'm not understanding correctly, but I have FHDB installed on my HDD and a bunch of ISO's. If I put that HDD into another PS2 could I still boot FHDB and play the ISO's on OPL?

I'm not using FMCB, I'm booting from HDD that's why I'm concerned about whether it will work or not

FHDB could not work if target console has not changed flag I mentioned. When You installing FHDB, installer changing it in the console. So it will work if it was changed, or will start to work when be changed.

So if i reinstall FHDB by using a memory card with FMCB, it should work right?

Yes. But remember to backup FREEMCB.CNF from __sysconf partition or else probably will be overwritten by default one.
