Hello,
like the title pretty much says, I happen to run into the issue that the PS2 Game Valkyrie Profile: 2 Silmeria looks completely off on my TV to my taste when I run it with a fully backwards compatible CECHB00 PS3.
To show an example of how the game looks on my TV:
And an example of how the game apparently is supposed to look:
Now what I would suppose that is happening here, would be that the game runs in 480i on my TV, as in the first video linked, instead of 480p, as in the second video linked, like it actually could.
However I tried both, booting the game normally and also booting it while holding X and triangle down so that I was able to get into the menu for telling the game to run in progressive mode... However both methods yielded the exact same result for me: The game looks like its running in 480i.
As for my TV, it is a LG C2 from 2022 connected to the PS3 with an HDMI Cable and the Game itself is the NTSC Version.
Do you guys know what could be the issue here ?
Regards.
