Hi
my ps3 fan makes a lot of noise when i install webman, will changing the syscon setting solve the problem?
And what tutorials do you recommend for installing PS2 games? MrMario's tutorials are good but with webman my fan is running at full speed :/

Is it a fat or slim model?
If it's not a fat PS3, just set the fan settings on syscon. It's in the webman settings page.

it's a super slim model , when I had an old version on my old PS3 there were no fan problems, with the new versions of webman the fan makes noise

Super slim models produce less heat than phat & early slim models.

If the fan is producing too much noise, you can reduce the fan speed from 40% to 30% in /setup.ps3

However, the ps2 emulator uses more cpu power than ps3 games. So your ps3 could overheat after certain time at 30%.

But the temperature depends also of other factors like your rooms temperature, air flow, ventilation of the area, game played, etc.

Just like Aldo said, super slim models produce less heat. You shouldn't have overheating or fan noise problems. See if there is enough room for the console ventilation, and if you are confident about everything, clean it and replace the thermal paste, and it will work with no noise.

Could be misremembering, but I could've sworn there was a bug with hen and dynamic fan control in wmm to where some users' fan would jump to 100%. I don't know what causes it, but yeah, try allowing Syscon fan control. I own a superslim too, but I don't use hen. My superslim runs really cool. You can't even hear it unless it's completely quiet, and it's never overheated.
