PS3 webMAN MOD 1.47.03 (by Aldostools) - New Improvements to various aspects of the plugin

Developer Aldostools pushed a new update recently to the popular PS3 plugin webMAN MOD, Following the release of 1.47.01 that gave stability to many of recent additions added such as the sLaunch MOD, with the next version jumping o 1.47.03 we see the plugin will come in 4 Editions (Cobra, Full, Lite & Non-Cobra), 2GB issue with ps3netsrv has been addressed. Then /setup.ps3 menu has seen various changes to give a cleaner feel. The developer has outlined even more changes you should checkout in the provide log.

The only way I know is to modify the updater code a little bit to avoid the /dev_flash installation routine & recompile.
Then wMM would install on Rebug as it does on any other Cobra CFW.

For the record that is also what I would prefer. I don't like wMM integrated in Rebug at all.
In th he future the situation might change if Joonie decides to remove webman from Rebug new builds.

Yeah me to I don't like webman mod in the flash I guess we have wait for Rebug come out with a firmware without webman mod I never update webman mod when I'm in Rebug I guess to install this you have enable webman and cobra and just use pkg to update I guess for now stick to webman or sman for now but really want try this xd

I rarely use the wMM updater on Rebug.
If you want to use it though, it's not that hard to launch the updater then on reboot copy the /dev_flash/vsh/module/webftp_server.sprx to /dev_hdd0, edit the boot_plugins.txt to add the path "/dev_hdd0/webftp_server.sprx" & finally go to the Toolbox to disable webman again....
On reboot all is well...

Yes this is what I wanted to do but instead get the webftp_server.sprx from wMM updater.pkg with pkgview and add it to boot_plugins.txt don't know this will work.

That works fine & it is what I do most of the time. You also need to copy slaunch.sprx & wm_vsh_menu.sprx along with the images folder into /dev_hdd0/plugins.

Remember that if you need raw_iso.sprx & netiso.sprx, wMM looks uses /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res to find them since last release...
You can copy the files there if you wish.

You can safely ignore the rest of the updater files as they rarely change so no need to copy them 99% of the time.

thanks for some reason combra and full did not try lite and noncobra I don't get a icon on webman mod its blank and fan speed auto at 68 by default with dynamic fan enabled?

 

Is it maybe possible to add external PS2 Support? I mean on 100% BC Console I can use the USB Slots for SingStar, Buzz etc. and they also work.

 

Ahh ok No way install this without updating the one in flash in Rebug? I Wish you can install this like the original webman.

Try deleting webftp_server.bak and webftp_server.sprx from /dev_blind/vsh/module

The updater installs wMM on dev_flash when it finds the plugin already installed in that location.

Another way is to add line to boot_plugins.txt and manually copy wMM to hdd from installed pkg. Now when dev_flash webman will be disabled, hdd webman will be used. But is overall bad idea to have 2 different versions of webman MOD in one time. Unless you don't want to turn on dev_flash webman again. @LILCruz

Becouse i wanna use my 4TB 2,5" but can't make MBR 2TB+ anymore.

last few days i have tryed all of your latest release with clean installation of habib and rebug cfw but my 3 problems are the same from my last post.

if you want to produce the 2nd problem you just need to press the squre button few times while the slunch is creating the game list, and you will see the "icon_wm_ps3.png" in the all games list page.

to produce the 3rd you have to select the setup from the side menu in slunch then dirctly go and select the setup icon from the xmb

This is great. So far I'm able to launch Gameboy (All 3), SMS, Genesis, NES, Nintendo, Atari2600, TG16, from WebMAN MOD menu under ROMS. Now, is there a way to launch ARCADE roms with this (MAME 2003 or FB ALPHA)? Tried it, and it just exits out to the XMB. If it does work, how, and also is it possible to give them actual titles so they don't show up like "sssf2u" or "pbpbble2u" or "mslug"?

No. It's not possible. The PS3 Operating System does not support GPT.
In theory, someone sufficiently skilled could code some kind of GPT mounter but even then I am not sure the 2Tb limit could be overridden. In any case, writing such a driver is a big job & in practice I doubt that it will ever happen...

Thank you for your feedback. The recent 6 commits after release 1.47.04 have been focused to fix other issues.

If I get some free time I'll try to check your issues.

I installed the latest version of the Webman 15/03/2017 1:47:04 but after installing it does not work, I most FTP, access denied, the problem is that they do not support it the FTP regub toolbox and multiman, I can not even access the web interface using a PC.
If, however, discharge Webman, ftp work.

Try ticking the admin and save restart then on restart L2 R2 Triangle should turn on admin mode with that all should work for you
