PS3 Webman Mod - Automatic Memory Card ?

Hi,

thanks for beeing part of PSX-Place.

Here's my question:

I have the latest Webman Mod 92 installed and play mostly PS1 and PS2 games.

Everytime i load a game, i have to choose the right Memory Card for PS1 or PS2.

Is there a way that the emu Inserts the right Card automaticly? Sometimes i load a game and forgot to Insert the right Card. So i have to quit the Game, Insert the right Card and then i can Play.

no idea, I guess that's part of the firmware XMB / emulator behaviour.

would it help to mount PS1 Memorycard to Slot 1 and Memorycard for PS2 in Slot 2? Is PS2 emu able to use Memcard in Slot 2?

I think it's more a per game issuse even on real ps1 & ps2 hardware games act differently.
Slot 1 is prefered or defaulted an Slot 2 is just used to backup when you run out of space, iirc some saves also have copy protection flag so you can't transfer them between cards, cheat discs allowed you to compress them to another format to clone them to another card.
Namco & Konami also had a few easter eggs based on previous played games, an the Gran Turismo games allowed you swap, upgrade cars from two garages along with bypassing a few of the license tests if you'd already reached a certain level on the previous game.

you can assign slots to each memory card using the triangle button iirc in the memory card management tab on the xmb. I think this even works with cobra (though I can't recall for sure), but it will not work with hen, because each ps2 classic has two memory cards built in for each game. I think cobra uses the memory cards you create, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I created two cards in xmb, Card1 for PS1 and Card2 for PS2 games. Card1 is assigned to slot 1 and Card2 is assigned to slot 2 for PS2 games. Is it possible to change the slots during a ps1 game is running? Maybe a combo to press to get into the card manager?
