webMAN MOD has seen an update to support firmware v4.80, while already seen in the latest release of Rebug from an update by Joonie . Developer aldostools has updated his github repository with also updates to prepNTFS & ps3netsrv to go along with it. Additional details about this update and regarding this PS3 plugin can be seen below/

  • webMAN MOD
Fork of original webMAN plugin by Deank for Playstation 3

webMAN MOD is an homebrew plugin with many features added on the original webMAN by Deank. We would like to integrate all existing features available on the PS3 Scene like a AIO plugin, and webMAN MOD was born.

FYI the latest update on my repository is essentially the same code found in Joonie's github (used for rebug 4.80.1).

The additions were mainly:
- VSH Menu (the refresh XML now let select the extended content profile)
- prepNTFS (now can detect 4.80 - needed to know if should use the auto fix game)
- ps3netsvr (prevent a crash of the tool when XML is refreshed)
- Addressed an issue with the XML files in the updater.

Hi, Aldo!
1. Why ps3netserv (GUI for Win) merg content from all folder with same name from anothe drives? What need to disable this ?
2. Then using wM with ps3netserv for Linux, ISO-covers (same name by ISO) with uppercase extentions (PNG & JPG instead png & jpg) not working. Can you fix it?

The merge of content from all drives is an experimental feature that was intended to use a single server to serve multiple drives. The binary of ps3netsvr included in the source code of webMAN MOD's project (on my github), the feature is disabled by default.

Alternatively you can right click on the "Start >" button of the PS3 Net Server GUI, and uncheck "Merge Content from All Drives" if it's selected. Or simply replace the file "ps3netsrv_merge_drives.exe" with the build of ps3netsrv.exe included in the same folder.

The search for .png & .jpg (in lower case only) was intentional to help to speed up a bit the scanning.of new content. You can test if this sprx solves your issue about finding the covers with extensions in uppercase.

Is it normal that the control fan utility is not working when playing PS2 games on a physical disc? I have set the PS2 Emu at 55% but when I loaded a PS2 game the fan speed didn't change. Unit is a backwards compatible ps3 fat (CECHA06)

I get an error (an unspecified one at that) when trying to switch discs mid-game, such as importing Dynasty Warriors 8 into Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends. webMAN won't properly unmount DW8:XL, but if I force an unmount, then I can't mount anything else without having to restart my PS3.

I ended up having to downgrade to 4.75 CFW so that I could use the original webMAN, which doesn't have this issue.

So webMAN-MOD gives you a problem with disc switching whereas webman doesn't. Do I understand correctly?
Which version & edition of webMAN-MOD are we talking about?

I'm not see this function. Used lastest versions of psnetsrv (console-merged-drives + gui) from you github

webMAN-MOD 1.43.28 that came with the most recent Rebug.

FYI I also ported webMAN (original) to 4.80
https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/tree/master/updater/pkgfiles/USRDIR/official

I don't have these games, so it's not possible for me to test the issue.

Cool. I'll update my PS3 and try this, then I'll edit this post with the results. I'll also post screenshots this time if another error occurs.
