PS3 webMAN MOD v1.47.23 / .24 / .25 (by Aldostools) - Improving the Ps3HEN experience & more

Check it out more PS3 Homebrew, this time around developer @aldostools is back with some updates to webMAN MOD improving the plugin experience for both CFW and Ps3HEN user;s in the latest update labeled as version v1.47.23. In this update there has been a fix to some blackscreen issues on homebrew that was being launched during the Content Scanning process, Also keys have been fixed and adjusted for Ps3HEN for the add-on pkg/rom launcher feature of wMM. The webMAN MOD installer and updater has new and updated detection mechanism in place for Ps3HEN. These are just some of the new features in this update but the developer has been busy with several updates in the recent, so be sure to checkout the previous changelogs if you have not been keeping up to date on this PS3 Plugin that is a must have for many Ps3 Owner's on either Custom firmware or Ps3HEN.​

i made a clean hfw 4.84 and han, hen 2.2.2 installation. after installing 1.47.23.2 webman i have black screens on managunz , irishman and ocasionally to multiman

Tu sais que j'ai une super-slim CECH-4204C (500Go interne) et que WebMAN est irascible avec ses copains HBs, il provoque des BSOD divers et variés qui vont jusqu'aux "gels" complets de la console. Pour utiliser les autres HBs je suis obligé de "décharger" le WMM-1.47.23.2 de la mémoire et ainsi je peux utiliser le mmCM que j'utilise pour son très bon gestionnaire de fichier sans passer par une interface WEB.

Je pose l'état de la console : elle est froide depuis au moins huit heures donc à la température ambiante de 23°C, je la démarre et immédiatement après, je lance le HEN, je décharge le WMM juste après.
Le souci : immédiatement après avoir déchargé le WMM, le ventilateur monte en vitesse (du genre 2 fois plus vite). Ceci fait suite à l'arrêt du WMM.
Est-ce un problème, un fait du WMM une fois déchargé ???

Anciennement à cela, j'avais installé le sMAN, et lui, une fois déchargé de la mémoire, il fait passer la vitesse du ventilateur à la valeur du "SYSCON", c'est à dire presque inaudible.

As-tu une réponse à me donner s'il te plait ???

De plus, j'ai aussi installé le IrisMAN compatible HEN. Si le WebMAN n'a pas été lancé au démarrage du HEN alors il le fait démarrer avec lui et ainsi je retrouve mes ancients problèmes d'incompatibilités entre WMM, mmCM et IrisMAN. Est-il possible d'éviter que le IrisMAN lance le WMM s'il te plait ???

- The memory container [MC] now can be selected by id on /setup.ps3 (4-bg is recommended if video_rec is not used)
- Improved FTP server receiving small files.
- Increased the max number of FTP threads from 8 to 10
- iso folders & packages now are created on hdd0 on startup

BTW, I tried used videorec.ps3 function, but when I insert http://myps3IP/videorec.ps3 my PS3 starts freeze immediately, I would like to record but I know is impossible for some good games

check your Irisman settings, it also has fan control..
If using webman, irisman fan control needs disabled, or vice versa.

Vérifiez vos paramètres Irisman, il a également le contrôle du ventilateur ..
Si vous utilisez Webman, le contrôle de ventilateur irisman doit être désactivé, ou inversement.

download latest version to usb memory.
install usb to ps3.
goto package manager, install standard, choose file on usb.
goto installed pkg in game menu, you will see it scroll, listing update webman..
hold down , press , press , keep pressed for reboot.

instructions are scrolled on screen.

Thanks, I already know how to update webMAN via USB as I've been using it on CFW for many years, but I was a little confused as to what this "update via XMB" feature Aldo just added in the recent version of webMAN was lol.

I assumed you had to go into webMAN settings and find a Update icon but I guess I'm wrong lol

maybe thats the answer then, but his new version is beta.. I'm not sure, hopefully aldo be on soon to let you know..

Video recording is an extreme feature (many games are not designed with it in mind).

If you want to record, it's recommended to use the standalone video_rec.sprx which is launched using the combo SELECT+R3+L2+R2 (this combo also unloads webMAN)

It is totally unrelated... the black screen problem is a bug in PS3HEN that I cannot fix...

Anyway the new beta allows to choose which VSH memory container you want to use, if you need additional memory (3MB) used for scanning more content (refresh XML), long file listing in file manager or during FTP transfers.

In earlier versions only container id = 1 was used, but it can cause black screens when applications are started as @habib commented here. Now you can choose the container 1, 2, 3, 4 or disabled. I tested starting multiMAN while I was transfering 2000 files with FileZilla to PS3 using the container 4-bg and I didn't get any freeze on 4.84.2 Rebug. PS3HEN is a different story.

In the recent betas there is a new "Install" option near the bottom of "Setup webMAN options" menu... it downloads the PKG from my website aldostools.org and install it automatically, thanks to the examples provided by @DeViL303 (only needs to reboot after install, since the files are installed directly to their final locations)

 

@aldostools just to let you know aldo that I had to remove webman to get my Ps3 to function, so hopefully this HEN problem is fixed soon so that I may reinstall..

I used one of the examples of @DeViL303 that use rco variable for the labels... for some reason when I tried to use static text the option was broken, so I left it exactly as DeViL303's example. The important is that it works

Not necessarily it always will be the latest build, but for now it is...

Yeah we cant seem to use static text there. The "install" text was the best i could find in the main explore_plugin_full.rco. The other option is to have no title at all and a descriptive icon. then when downloading it will show the name of the pkg which is nice, but leaves us with that screen with no title.

You can put it in a subfolder, then you can have any title you want on the top level. That is how its done in most pkg downloaders.

Normally when starting HEN, WEBman is activated..

Non, pas chez moi car j'ai renommé le fichier "…plugins.txt" en "…plugins.txt.old" et il n'est plus lancé tant que je n'en ai pas besoin. C'est pourquoi j'ai posé la question, pourquoi le IrisMAN me fait démarrer le WebMAN, c'est un mystère pour moi.

In /dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/USRDIR/settings.ini is the path where to auto-load webMAN MOD if it is not already loaded.
Change it to any path if you don't want it to auto-load.
