webman runs very very slow

so today i woke up in the morning, turned on the PS3 and it seems like there is a problem with webman. everything related to it is VERY slow.

i have auto play with music enabled and it used to take just a second or two to start the music but now it takes at least 10 to 15 seconds. also with games.... when pressing X it also took just a second and the game loaded and started now it also takes a lot longer to load and start the game.

i unisnstalled webman completely and installed the latest webman again, rebuild database, checked filesystem but nothing seems to work.

everything else in the XMB and in the games is working as it should

any suggestions? thank you

Check if disconnecting all the USB devices you obtain a better result.

Also verify if /dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt is loading other plugins. If there are many plugins listed, edit it to have only /dev_hdd0/plugins/webftp_server.sprx

Use http://0/vshplugin.ps3mapi to check if there are additional processes running in background.

Update to the latest build from 7/22 if you haven't installed it yet.

Check the option "Disable content scan on startup" in /setup.ps3, save the settings and reboot.

i unplugged all of the usb devices, checked the boot_plugins.txt, only webftp_server.sprx is in there and also checked the vshplugin.ps3mapi and there also only the webftp_server.sprx is running in the background. never had any other plugins running

Please make sure that you have checked the option "Disable content scan on startup" in /setup.ps3

The content scanning at startup consumes a considerable amount of memory and can cause a slowdown of the system.
This is more critical during the system startup, because many other processes are also starting and consuming resources.

NOTE: If mygames.xml does not exist, the content scanning will be performed even if the option above is check marked.

thanks. i always have the "Disable content scan on startup" option disabled. since my games don't change much and i kinda made myself a custom mygames.xml where i changed the sort order of the games the way i like it but even with the original mygames.xml webman creates it is still very slow i got no idea what's going on since i didn't change any setting or anything since yesterday
