PS3 WebmanMod PSX-ISO Listing: Why Brackets?

So I have built myself a PSX-ISO Library for mny CFW-modded PS3.

To help WebmanMod find the Cover images from the Retro-Covers Pack I have added the games' serial numbers to the images' names. The Serial numbers and names for the images have been taken from psxdatacenter.com.

So far so good, Webman mod recignizes all the games and immediately had the covers for them. But strangely the list is somewhat split in half. The top list has some of the games sorted alphabetically. Then the second half of the list has the rest of the games also alphabeticall sorted but with brackets [ ] around the name. The brackets lead to the separation of the list it seems. But why is that? Webman Mod seems to recognize the games properly since it finds all the cover images. But why does it put those brackets around the names? And how can it keep it from doing that? I would like to have a properly sorted list.

The brackets are due the folder names. They are used to group games.

The ISOs are supposed to be placed in the main folder PSXISO, PS2ISO, PS3ISO, etc.

Oh I see. The folders themselves are not the problem. The problem occurs, when the folders are named differently than the images inside. I have every game in a seperate folder. Only those where the names differ show up in brackets.

WMM is smart. If I have a multidisc game in a folder where each disc contains (disc X) at the end of the filename. WMM takes that into account and ignores if the name of the folder does not have (disc X) in its name. Only the rest of the filename or foldername matters.

But if a multidisc game is in a folder, WMM does not show the disc number in the gameslist. ONly when the disc files are not in the folder, it shows the disc number. That's a bummer.

Yes, webMAN MOD detects when the ISO and the folder names are exactly the same and shows the folder name.
This is one of the many "hacks" that I implemented to avoid redundance in the games list.

About the issue that you're reporting where the disc X label is not displayed, I have corrected this bug in a build uploaded today.
Use github, brewology or the online updater to get the patched version.
