PS5 Weird noise when connecting PS5's external HDD to extension cord

Overnight, I take the PS5's external HDD's power cord from the external HDD's power input just to be sure because the external HDD's power supply/power cord makes/make an odd and annoying whistling noise when the external HDD is connected to the power strip and I'm afraid of starting a fire.

I've changed the power strip and I still have this problem. Does that mean the external HDD may stop working, or even worse, may it mess up all my devices connected to the power strip or/and even have a fire? I bought this external HDD two years ago and I've had this problem since then.

What's odd is that if I connect it to the laptop's power strip, I don't have this problem.

EDIT: I might stop clicking the PS5's external HDD's power strip's switch overnight because after doing it again in the next day to use the devices, the HDMI switch (which isn't even connected to the power strip but to the TV via USB cable [and HDMI cable]), the set-top box and sometimes (which is odd) the PS TV automatically turn on afterwards and I don't want to waste time turning them off.

EDIT 2: Sometimes, if disconnecting the power strip which has the TV and the other power strip connected from the wall socket and connecting it, the HDMI switch turns on and I can't turn it off via remote controller. I have to click the first (which has the TV and the other power strip connected) power strip's switch to turn the HDMI switch off (and the other devices) and click it again (which turns the HDMI switch on again, as well as the set-top box and sometimes the PS TV) to be able to turn off the HDMI switch via remote controller. Odd.

EDIT 3: I'll stop clicking the PS5's external HDD's power strip's switch overnight to not waste time turning off the HDMI switch, the set-top box and sometimes the PS TV afterwards.

EDIT 4: I bought this powered USB hub for the PS5 and I also have to use a travel adapter to fit it in my wall socket since it has an US power plug and I'm in Portugal but now I have a second annoying whistling noise when it's connected to the power strip even after disconnecting the other devices from both power strips and the DualSense and PULSE 3D don't charge if connected to some of its USB ports while the PS5 is in rest mode, which is odd. Also, this powered USB's hub "POWER" indicator is always on and I can't turn it off unless I click the powered USB hub's power strip's switch (for instance). I previously bought this unpowered USB hub for the PS5 but the DualSense and PULSE 3D didn't charge if connected to it when the PS5 was turned off unlike with the other USB hub (though it doesn't charge them if connected to some of its USB ports) since it's not powered but at least it didn't make the whistling noise.

EDIT 5: I don't know how but DualSense's USB-C port has moved and to put it back in the original position so I can connect an USB-C cable to it I have to press the controller's touch pad with some force while I connect the USB-C cable. I can also still use the DualSense Charging Station since it doesn't use the controller's USB-C port. Maybe the DualSense's USB-C port moved when assembling the controller after I changed its battery since it was draining fast (I also changed PULSE 3D's ear pads since they had worn off).

EDIT 6: I bought PULSE Elite and its dongle blinks even with the PS5 turned off if connected to the console's powered USB hub, not to mention PULSE Elite disconnected once for some seconds with its dongle connected to it (the powered USB hub is connected to a PS5 back USB-A port) so I connected the dongle to the PS5's front USB-A port. Also, PULSE Elite makes a buzz-like sound when being charged even if turned off.

EDIT 7: PULSE Elite disconnected for some seconds with its dongle connected to the PS5's front USB-A port as well.

EDIT 8: Sometimes, PULSE Elite has lower volume though the level keeps the same in the "Volume" bar and I have to turn PULSE Elite off and on to fix this bug. Odd.
