PS5 Weird noise when connecting the PS5's Seagate 3.5" 8TB external HDD to the PS5

When connecting the PS5's Seagate 3.5" 8TB external HDD to the PS5 it does a weird and annoying buzz-like noise even if the PS5 is turned off.

I already had this problem when the external HDD was connected to my PS4 Pro. Does this mean the external HDD may stop working, or even worse, may it fry all my devices connected to the extension cord (like the PS5, its external HDD and other devices) or/and may it even start a fire? I only bought the external HDD a little more than two years ago (at the time for the PS4 Pro) and I've had this problem since then. Meanwhile, the warranty has expired.

If I connect the external HDD to the PC I don't have this noise.
 
I don't have PS5, nor the "Seagate 3.5" 8TB external HDD" (whatever it means; for description devices use their model numbers, not marketing bullshitnames :P because they are not precise), nor hearing this, so it is hard to judge.

Maybe PS5 doesn't allow him to sleep? Just blind shot.

For sure it is not infected because none executable for another environments (e.g PE for Windows) will be launched on PS5 (even not PS5 elf because it must be signed, encrypted, have bunch of meta data and placed in correct place under correct names - and if "virus" creator could do that, we wouldn't need hack the console in the first place...); and fw of HDD also cannot be infected because fw match only for specific models and often are today signed too. LOL what an idea...

The model is SRDONF2.

I thought .elf files were related to the PS2.

ELF are very common unix based systems executable format. It doesn't mean that *.elf for PS2, You will run on x86 Linux on PC, x86 Linux on PS4, on macOS etc. Even on all PS2s. There are plenty of those like e.g PE for Windows (which doesn't mean they will be run on IBM OS/2 or 64bit executable on 32bit Windows), COM for DOS, MACH4 for old macOS etc. etc.

In addition, ELFs for Sony platforms since PSP (or since PS2 DESR models) must be signed and encrypted.

What do you mean by signed and encrypted? What about .self files?

Speed Test
If I connect the external HDD to the PC I don't have this noise.
