PS2 What Sets SNESticle Apart from Other PS2 Emulators?

Hey all!

Over the past few days I've been really diving into the PS2 port of SNESticle, and from my perspective it's a masterclass in performance. While both emulation cores are lacking in the areas of accuracy and compatibility, when games run correctly they're basically locked at full-speed from start to finish, unlike other homebrew effort which, even under the best of circumstances, have small performance stutters in video and audio.

My question is what makes SNESticle so much more stable in terms of performance? Does it go the extra mile and utilize hardware acceleration to take the heat off CPU? If anyone knows, I'm genuinely interested in finding out!
