What's the best cfw?

I was wondering the best CFW between 4.81 and the current one
CFW-Compatible: 4.89 OFW / PS3HEN: 4.89 HFW

The best one is EvilNat 4.90, it have the flavors of the Rebug and + tons of new features

Based on readme, not everything was ported from DEX, so if someone needed such features, it is still the best Rebug 4.84.2 Rex/D-Rex. But for normal usage, indeed Evilnat CEX or PEX is superior, especially because of updated Cobra 8.4 and xai_plugin.

Yeap, the explorer_plugin.sprx was not ported due to the layout issues.

Oh Rebug is good. Does it get all the new futures that the newer CFW's are getting? Rebug will not get the updated Cobra? Sorry i haven't messed with PS3 since before PS4 lol

Rebug is dead because last DEX fw which devs has got was 4.84. And no, no one backporting (there was somewhere 8.3 for manual replacing files on flash but I don't remember who made it and where was uploaded). In case of xai_plugin it is just a matter of resigning I believe and simple changes in xmls, but in case of Cobra some changes in code are needed.

Depends if you want stability (Rebug Cobra 4.86.1 Lite) or more features with the newest CFW as of this posting.

I am hesitant to install the newest as I have seen multiple people reporting various issues.

I think whatever is the most stable. Since i haven't messed with this in like ten years lol

I am still on rebug but i am not a hardcore ps3 fan. I just want ps3 to work and be fairly up to date.

But maybe will take a look at evilnat anyway...
