Do you have one? Do you use it? Are you thinking about getting one? If no, why not?

I'm thinking about getting one. The Remote Play sounds like a huge plus, and mix that with a PS TV and you got a trifecta going on. On top of all that, the got exclusive Bloodborne coming out. Not to mention it's a BR player :p

I have not got one myself yet,

Reason(s):
I never buy consoles early in their life cycle. (they are junk and most expensive then). Bought way to many PS2/PS1.. (learned my lesson) (though my original PS3 is still ticking well. that is a SLIM) PS4 Game line=up is not impressive. GTA V is likely to help but is it going to be that much better then the PS3 version to get a new console and copy of the game. I doubt it. Of course visuals will be better, but personally I do not see that huge graphical leap yet. Yea side by side you can see it but in real-time playing. It's not worth it personally.

When and if it becomes exploited is when i would buy it, because i think it being x86 it will be a hell of a Emulation device and Homebrew should explode. but that i feel it's several years away and i hope it is. It's better for Sony and it's also better for the community if the PS4 is hacked later in the life cycle. Rather then early.

Now PlayStationTV i am excited about that and i think a good move for Sony as it will help the Vita Game Sales...

PS4 just doesn't impress me yet (but PS3 did not as well at start)

Ohh and also my PS3 plays BluRay just fine :)

Yes, if you have a PS4 :)
Not sure about PS3 TBH, i think so but i do not know.

I think the only way to get PS3 is through that PS Now service (or whatever it is called) using a PS4.

But I agree... still nothing game worthy.

I am usually an avid console collector. But this generation I've waited. Waited a little while on the Wii U. Probably going to wait awhile on the PS4, or at least until Black Friday. And I don't know about Xbone... I've heard it's got issues. Ultimately, it comes down to what my friends get and tell me I need to get, or vice versa

EDIT-

On the PS3 side, it would be epic to see CFW PS3's somehow exploit that Remote Play to PS TV.

I'm a pretty big console whore myself. I usually wait a while each generation, but was given an xbox one by my kids at Christmas last year. The thing is pretty damned cool. It integrates with my directv, so i can be playing a game and getting my geek on watching syfy in a little window on the side. I love the tv integration. I havent had any problems with it, at all. The voice integration of the kinect is pretty tight, much better than the 360.

But with the PS4, it also comes down to library for me. I didn't actually buy my ps3 until Infamous came out. Then I really started paying attention to the games library. I learned that alot of the TYPES of games I like come out mostly for the xbox only and alot came out for both. Very few of the games I play are PS Only. After a while, if i had a choice of console, I'd switch it up and get it for the ps3 sometimes, and the 360 next time, etc.

With the One, I've only got a few games. Destiny is freaking BEAU-TEE-FULL on the One. I still use my 360 for most of my gameplay (I tend to buy games on sale, and still have 4-5 unopened 360 games to go thru yet). I use the ps3 right now for a few games but more for its online features (netflix, amazon instant video). I joined the PS Plus for a few months, at the hopes of scoring a few cheap games, but found i was paying for plus but not finding any games I wanted in their catalog.

Now, I was pretty excited about the whole Playstation Now concept, until a week or so ago. I saw something online where they were showing some sample price breakouts for PS Now, and the pricing I saw was pricing the gameplay by the hour?? Yeah, that kind of soured the milk for me. If its per hour play, I'll just order gamefly or something. Its not like I don't already own nearly every console since the ps1.

I think the PS4 looks pretty sweet, but with me, its going to be catalog (and a good price) that eventually draws me in. A nice black friday price might convince me to pull the trigger.

Yeah I've read about that, about the engine that creates the universe. Its pretty sweet, and yeah, that could draw me in...

That is if the procedural generated planets are indeed different. Although having 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets, I'm sure many will be very much alike. I just hope it lives up to the hype that its creating.

According to the article in Game Informer, yeah, everything is completely unique. Now, with literally that much space, we're bound to have planets that look identical, but may have changes that we dont even recognize. Plus, with how many there are, what are the chances that we will ever even find two that seem identical?

I suppose its due to how the algorithm works. With procedural generation on that level, like Borderlands implementation with guns, it is possible to randomly generate the same stuff albeit slightly different.

Here is a couple of videos via gamespot for those who might not have checked them.

I have a PS4 and Love it!
All tho it is much safer to wait when a Newer console comes out but,
When I find out more of the specs of the Hardware comparing to last Gen
I was sold (8GB of Ram and a AMD Processor) That both XB1 an PS4 have,
Comparing to the PS3 and The Xbox360 Only having 512MB/Ram
So I sold My PS3 Slim + Games to Gamestop
They gave Me a Extra 35% towards the PS4 and It cut that Price in half :)
The Newer Next-Gen consoles are even much more closer to a Laptop then ever before,
Its no't a fair comparison if anyone try's to compare it to a Computer due because of there limits of parts to switch out. (Just saying)

Besides that I was planning to Pick up 3 Game's the very next day when I pick up my Ps4 that Night.
But Target run there special a day early so When I got up there most to all GAMES were sold out :(
So My three I was going to pick up was Ghost,BF4,And Kill Zone, So I had to Pick ether one of the Two, Ghost or BF4
There was No Kill Zone any where around where I'm at. (At the Time at Target)
So I pick up nether one Of the 3, I went with (NEED FOR SPEED RIVALS) and I'm glad That I did
Ghost was a Re-copy from a previous call of duty, BF4 Was Full of Bugs and other Stuff. and Kill Zone would Have been a Great Pick
But I chose a Kick @$$ Racing Game that is Hella fun. :)

And Now
I'm waiting for:
GTA
Dying Light
The Division
MKX
bloodborne
And I'm going to hold out on Call Of Duty
Only just to See how it dose

I've been eyeing the PS4 since its release but like many, I'm just waiting for a few things to justify my purchase. To me, there's nothing standout about it that's going to make me want to get it right away or at least over the Xbox One. On top of that, I don't use my PS3 much anymore except for Netflix and GTA Online.

You play GTA O. What's your handle, we should rock on there sometime.

Grim Doe Have you played to Souls series before?

Bloodborne is definitely the system seller for me.

I remember when the PS3 came out, I waited on that until there was a game or two to justify me having one. I remember buying DMC4 before I even had the system. I forget what game finally came out that made me get, or if I ended up just getting it spur of the moment type of thing... I'm leaning towards the later.

I'm glad I got to experience to Souls series day one, and I really don't want to miss that feeling again this time around.

Other than that, I'm not really sure what to expect... like, which games are being made or what's coming out. Been out of the loop on that as well, probably because the only next-gen I have right now is Wii U.

I have one but I don't use it very often. I find myself using my cfw ps3 still. I have really enjoyed it when I have played the ps4, but i just don't see the point in spending more money on ps4 games that I already played on the ps3. (gtav, assassin's creed, sleeping dogs, etc.) But, there are a handful of upcoming titles I'm really looking forward to playing.
