PS3 why fps drops when temps go down?

is it normal that in some of my games when my cell goes bellow 33 my fps dips about 10fps from 30 to 19-20.
also my rsx usually is 22-25 when cell at 32-34 but it probaby isn't it cause its always low. can ps3 handle these temps? it seems to struggle.
it is cechc04 with small overclock.
maybe my ssd cant handle low temps? game was paused last time this fps drop happend so maybe it not ssd?

most games are poorly optimized on the ps3, because the ps3 is notoriously difficult to develop for. also, your issue may be that ssd. the ps3 wasn't designed for them.

Those are probably Celsius, but iirc from watching Star trek, 33 degrees C is still only around 100 degrees F, so I dunno.

Edit: it could be the SSD temp. They run cooler than HDD, and that sounds about right.

but i keep fan louder. it is at 33% always but i dont care about sound. i have headphones
