PS2 [Windows] Open PS2 Loader Updater v1.0.2

Open PS2 Loader (OPL) never allowed you to update itself inside the program.

Everyday there's a new build of OPL available on their official GitHub fixing and adding new stuff. I decided to make a program that will update your OPL installation on your PS2. All you need to do is run the program and start the FTP Server on your PS2.

It all takes about a minute!

Does this tool check if there is enough space before coping?
I mean when you have OPL in other folder e.g. mc0:/APPS/OPL.ELF,
this tool will copy OPL to mc0:/OPL/.
Will it check for free space before this operation?

Currently only mc0:/OPL/ path is supported or maybe also mc1:/OPL/, hdd0:/+OPL/?

A new downloaded and updated OPL version will be named OPL.ELF (mc0:/OPL/OPL.ELF)?
Does this tool can check if the newest version is already "installed"?

1. I'm not sure if I can check the free space left using the FTP Server (I will have to check).
2. You can choose any path. It can be the hard drive, your USB drive or the 2nd memory card slot (you can configure it in the Settings)
3. It just grabs the latest version available and replaces the old one on your PS2.

If You are using FTP, there is no painless method to do that. You need specific ftp client which allows that, but ftp server must expose that query (I'm not familiar with FTP on PS2 side, so I don't know if is even possible due to implementation).

Maybe easier would be with SMB? There is a fork of wLE (SmbLaunchELF, later called NETFS) which support Samba connections.

The FTP solution is by far the easiest since it's built into LaunchELF (and everyone has LaunchELF, right?).

Actually no, no one using LaunchELF today. Everyone using unofficial LaunchELF or double unofficial LaunchELF. And there are plenty of forks, each granting unique features so so-called power users have more than one. ;p

Personally I have uLE 4.42d for sanity check in case of problems with later builds and forks. wLE from FMCB/FHDB v1.966 because it is most well tested and stable from wLE line. wLE kHn for system partitions renaming and POPS+VCD support, ISR, ISR HDD for APA data injections, NETFS (yet I never use it yet ;p) for SMB and latest wLE for DESR HDD support (if I ever will buy it ;]).

Ah, that makes sense. Well then, I'll look into it.
Also, any ideas on how I could submit this app to resources? I contacted staff but no one came back to me yet.

When You are in Resources section, in top right corner there is Add Resource button. Could not work or is invisible for You if You don't have permissions to do so. And high probably You haven't until You will reach some post count (prevention from flooding bots).

Open PS2 Loader Updater is a tool that allows you to quickly update Open PS2 Loader on your PS2 to the latest available stable or daily build. All it takes is turning on your PS2, starting the FTP Server and running this program on your Windows PC.
