PS3 Wingman XE2 vibration stops after a few minutes

i have a wingman xe2, for anyone who is unfamiliar with this it's a dongle that let's me use my ps5 controller, among others, on the ps3. it's all working great but there seems to be a strange problem. whenever i turn the ps3 on the vibration function works but after a few minutes it just stops working. same thing when i just unplug it and plug it in again the vibration is working but stops after a couple of minutes. i am using the latest webman for game launching but even if i launch games with multiman or irismanagaer it's the same. also if i turn on the ps3 and just let it sit there and launch a game after a couple of minutes the vibration function is not there anymore.

can this have anything to do with usb polling or reset usb bus? i tried all different combos in webman but same result. or is there any setting in cfw, i'm on evilnat 4.91 btw, that i have overlooked? unfortunately i have no other controllers to try out if there is the same problem.

another funny thing is even if the vibration in-game is not working anymore, when you try to remap buttons you also get a vibration feedback when you do it and the vibration on this is working.

any help would be appreciated

I've got the same issue with Wingman XE2 on PS3 CFW 4.91.2 Evilnat ..... I search everywhere I can, but nothing .....

Then, I see one thing on the FAQ of Brook:

switch to PS3 mode. (Hold down PS + Right D-Pad buttons)

Q : How can i turn it on /off vibration function on controller?
A :
PS(XBOX) + Square(X)= Enable Rumble Motor
PS(XBOX) + Circle(B)= Disable Rumble Motor

And it work for now ... I need to try much more longuer to see if it really work, but right now, it work.

I hope it will help you ;)

P.S: Sorry for my poor english, I'm french

I forgot saomthing, you need to be Wired to Activate/desactivate vibration , after you can return Wireless.

But sometime, the adaptater really need to be unplug et plug again ... very weird

wow thank you very much for all the information. i am on vacation right now but as soon as i get the chance i will try this out.

Same issue here, Dualsense controller over wireless connection, on latest cfw 4.91 beta 17 ( Webman Mod ) - causing the same loss of vibration after a while. Has anyone found a fix in the meantime? I also used a Xbox One controller for a while and I think that one did not have the same issue, but need to test for longer.

Would be good to hear if same thing happens with the first version of this adapter, the Wingman XE and Dualsense wireless, as i would return my XE2 while I still can.

Best to contact their support, they sent me a beta firmware which works and the vibrations are no longer lost. Another thing I've also done was resetting the ps5 controller so it forgets all previous devices, just in case.

thanks for the tip. i contacted them and they also sent me the beta firmware and i tested the dualsense yesterday for a couple of hours and it seems to be working just fine now.

i remember contacting their customer support before making my initial post here but back then they couldn't help and said the fix for this might be included in the next FW update but unfortunately it wasn't.
